🚐 A Day on the Road: The Heart of Homeless Long Island 🚐
Today was a marathon of mileage, community, and pure grace. From one end of the island to the other, every single stop mattered.
Here is what a typical "day's run" looks like when we are out on the streets:
* **First Light:** Started the morning picking up a generous donation of dog food from Gary.
* **Coram:** Dropped off essential clothing to Tommy, who has been successfully off the street for a while now but still needs our community's backup.
* **Holbrook & Ronkonkoma:** Hit the road to collect bags of food and critical donations from incredible local friends.
* **Sayville:** Delivered dog food to a resilient woman currently living out of her van with her beloved pet.
* **East Patchogue:** Visited another man who is off the streets but was running low on food. We were able to hand him the fresh bags we had just picked up in Holbrook. Perfect timing.
* **Mastic Beach:** Traveled out to drop off cat food to a man who is housed but caring for six cats.
* **The Reservation:** Stopped for a quick break and a much-needed discount on gas to keep the wheels turning.
# # # **The Final Stop: Where the Spirit Met Us** 🙌
Our last stop was visiting six individuals currently experiencing homelessness. They desperately needed pants, food, and comfort. Thanks to a recent donation, we were able to bless them with Wendy’s gift cards.
But this stop became about so much more than just supplies. **This is what it’s all about.** We hung out, listened, and shared life for a while. Then, we all held hands and prayed together. It was a beautiful, powerful moment. The Holy Spirit truly came in and touched every heart in that circle. Everything we did today led up to that exact prayer.
> *"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them."*
> When the Holy Spirit comes upon you, He does not leave without accomplishing exactly what He set out to do.
While my friend drives I am fielding phone calls all day.
One of those calls today being a homeless couple staying at an abandoned camper in a park and ride. Causing us to back track to drop off food to them and prayer.

# # # **How You Can Help Us Keep Going 🤝**
We are out here doing the groundwork every day, but we cannot run this vehicle or stock these supplies without you. We are in immediate need of both monetarand material support:
* **💳 Monetary Donations:** Goes directly toward gas for outreach and gas card for needy people living in cars, emergency food, and matching immediate, urgent needs on the road.
* **👕 Clothing Donations:** High-demand items right now are **pants** and seasonal clothing for those surviving outdoors.
**To donate or find out where to drop off clothes, please drop a comment below or send us a direct message!**
Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus and helping us help the homeless and needy. Every dollar, every pair of pants, and every prayer keeps us moving forward.
