Join Us on Sundays @ 10 AM

What does it really mean to build your life on something that lasts? In a world filled with competing voices—each promising purpose, identity, and a better way to live—it’s easy to feel pulled in a hundred different directions. Everywhere we turn, people and institutions claim to have the wisdom we need. But what if true clarity, purpose, and fullness of life are found in just one place? This spring at The Gathering, we’re diving into the book of Colossians—a powerful letter that points us to the unmatched greatness of Jesus. Over six weeks, we’ll explore how Christ is not just part of the answer—He is above everything. He is greater than our doubts, greater than our distractions, and greater than anything we could ever put our hope in.
Whether you’re exploring faith, returning to church, or looking to grow deeper, this series will help you refocus your life on what truly matters. Join us this spring as we journey through Colossians and discover the One who is over all—and more than enough for every part of our lives.

Think Theology: Writing Your Creed
A 4-Week Course
Sundays | 1:00–2:00 PM
April 12 – May 3
________________

What do you actually believe—and why? Is there one God… or many? What is God like? Who is Jesus—and why has He shaped history more than anyone else? What does it mean to be human? Is the Bible unique? Does the Church still matter? And yes… will there be mosquitoes in heaven? Some questions are serious. Some are curious. All of them matter.

In this Think Theology course, Bill David will guide you through key expressions of faith—both ancient and contemporary—as you begin to articulate your own creed: a clear, personal statement of what you believe and why it matters. Grounded in Scripture and centered on God’s self-revelation in Jesus Christ, this course invites you to move beyond assumptions and into thoughtful, confident faith. This isn’t about being told what to think. It’s about learning how to think…deeply, honestly, and theologically.

Join us on February 8th as we kick off our Winter 2026 Series

"In the final hours before his arrest and crucifixion, Jesus spoke some of his most intimate and powerful words. Words shared not with crowds—but with friends. Join us at The Gathering as we listen in on these sacred conversations. What was on Jesus’s heart? What did he want his closest followers to understand? And what might those words still be asking of us today? Together, we’ll lean into these final teachings from the Gospel of John, discovering the depth of Jesus’ love—and the shape of the life he invites us to live. Come listen. Come reflect. Come discover what these final conversations might awaken in you."

"Think Theology" Discussion Group - Sundays 9/14, 10/12, 11/9 from 7-8:30 PM - Zoom

Think Theology is a welcoming, judgment-free space where we can talk openly about faith and culture from a variety of Christian perspectives—measuring those ideas against both what we’ve been taught and what we discover together in the Bible. Here, you can bring your honest questions, your doubts, and even your disagreements. We don’t shy away from hard topics; instead, we listen deeply to one another and lean into the tension of seeking God’s heart side by side.

Go to http://www.thegatheringsonora.church/groups to download the discussion notes.

Use this Zoom Link for the classes that will take place from 7-8 PM on Sundays 9/14, 10/12 & 11/9: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84636031712
