Join River’s Edge Circle on Friday, June 12 at 6:00 pm, in person at UUCSH, for a Litha Ritual as we witness the Oak King and the Holly King battle to turn the wheel of the year from light to dark. We will sing, chant and have a bonfire (weather permitting), and create blessed herb sachets/pillows infused with our intentions for summer and beyond. Afterwards, we will feast! Please consider bringing a dish to share. Blessed Be!

Ostara – 🌸The Goddess of Spring and Renewal

Ostara is the ancient Germanic goddess of dawn, fertility, and the rebirth of nature. She represents the sacred moment when winter fades and the Earth awakens again under the growing light of the sun.

Her festival is celebrated at the Spring Equinox, a time when day and night are perfectly balanced. It is a moment of harmony, new beginnings, and the return of life to the land.

Ostara symbolizes fertility, growth, and transformation. The sacred symbols connected to her are the egg, representing the seed of life and potential, and the hare, a creature of fertility and abundance. These symbols remind us that life always renews itself, even after the darkest winter.

For many witches and practitioners of the old paths, Ostara is a time to plant intentions, awaken inner power, and celebrate the magic of rebirth within ourselves and the world around us.

As the light grows stronger, Ostara whispers to the soul:
every ending carries the promise of a new beginning.

Please join River’s Edge Circle for a Yule Ritual and Feast on Wednesday December 17 at 7pm in Fellowship Hall. This Winter Solstice, we are going to be releasing that which is not working for us to make room for all the new bright, happy things we want to attract as the wheel of the year turns yet again, and the strength of the sun grows more powerful each day. Pagan, pagan friendly and pagan curious are welcome (those under 18 must come with a guardian). Bring a seasonal dish to share afterwards. For more information, email [email protected]
