SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY for HOMESCHOOLERS from Marshall, Morgan, Limestone, Madison, Lawrence, Jackson, or Cullman Counties

**The Calli Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund**

The Calli Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund was set up to honor the memory of a beloved young lady who lost her life in November of 2016, early in her Senior year of high school. Our goal is to encourage North Alabama Homeschool youth to pursue postsecondary education in a public or nonpublic university, college, or vocational/technical college. The Foundation will award a $500 Scholarship to one North Alabama high school graduate.

The Calli Wilson Memorial Scholarship can be used to directly reimburse tuition, room and board, books, technology, and fees for postsecondary education. The Calli Wilson Fund will make the scholarship grants directly to the postsecondary institution which the scholarship recipient attends.

Who Is Eligible:
Applicants for the 2025 scholarship must have been homeschooled students who graduated in Spring of 2024-2025 and are enrolled or intend to enroll in a postsecondary institution for the fall 2025 semester. The educational institution may be a public or private university, college, or vocational/technical college. Applicants must be a resident of Marshall, Morgan, Limestone, Madison, Lawrence, Jackson, or Cullman Counties.

Selection Criteria:
Students will submit a resume outlining their leadership, citizenship, school, church/community involvement, and academic achievements including GPA. Please include current contact information on the resume.

In addition, students will submit a 300-500 word essay sharing about themselves, their plans for the future, and how homeschooling prepared them for those plans.

Each student must submit a letter of recommendation from a non-family member. It can be from a community member, teacher, pastor, or family friend.

All information will need to be received by CrossRoads Christian Academy by May 31, 2025.

A panel from the CrossRoads Christian Academy board will evaluate the criteria listed above. The recipient will be notified, and the results will be posted on the CrossRoads Christian Academy page by June 28, 2025.

Registering with us is a commitment for the full co-op year. Included in those options will be classes for nursery, toddler, and Pre-K siblings. The day consist of 3 primary class periods, plus a family chapel time, which runs from 9:00am to 12:30pm.
