After the service on Sunday, June 7 we will hold our annual outing to Plum Island, weather permitting. Here, Paramahansa Yogananda and Dr. Minott Lewis held a 5-hour meditation on the jetty rocks in April of 1921.

We will gather in the parking lot beside the Jason Sawyer playground (located at the far end of the island, near the Plum Island Lighthouse) at 2:00pm and walk together to the jetty. The pilgrimage event will begin at 2:30pm beside the jetty and last an hour. It will include a brief meditation, a reading, and a rose petal ceremony. After the service we will share a meal at a nearby Indian restaurant.

We are pleased to announce that the Boston Center will host an Open House event on Sunday, May 31.

Starting at 10 a.m. - Introduction to the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, including a guided meditation.

11:20 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. - Informal reception with refreshments in the fellowship hall.

The Open House event is a great opportunity for newcomers to learn about Paramahansa Yogananda and his Self-Realization Fellowship teachings.

The service that day will be geared toward newcomers. It will feature a guided group meditation, information about the SRF path and audio/video segments about Paramahansa Yogananda.

Plum Island Pilgrimage

On Sunday, June 7 after the Sunday service, we will hold our annual outing to Plum Island. (Newburyport, MA)

The Boston Center’s Young Adults Group meets monthly to come together in spiritual fellowship to discuss the applications of Paramahansa Yogananda’s teachings in daily life, create a place to support each other, and to offer unique events to suit the interests of those ages 18-40.

The next meeting of the Young Adults Group: Sunday, March 22, 12:15 to 2:30 p.m.
We’ll meet downstairs in the Fellowship Hall. Refreshments will be served.
