Good morning

Nehemiah 8:10,
Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Don’t confuse joy with happiness.

Happiness depends on, when things go well, and you feel happy.

But when things go wrong, your happiness disappears.

God’s joy is entirely different.

The joy of the Lord is not based on how well your day is going.
Instead, it’s based on who God is.

Joy is a gift from God that you can choose anytime and anywhere,
so it’s possible to experience joy in any circumstances.
Amen

Good morning

1 Samuel 12:21,
Do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing.

In life,
we will see many paths.

But unless God is leading us to them and through them,
they will lead nowhere.

So let God open the right doors.

Do not turn aside to enticing doors or opportunities

For they lead to empty things in life,
which cannot profit us,
and brings forth nothing but distress.

When God allows one door to close, it may be because he is preparing to open a door of Blessings for you.

Has the Lord blessed you with ability to play a musical instrument alongside a church choir? We're seeking someone (or some folks) passionate about using their gifts in service to the Lord at South Maple Street First Baptist Church. We have a piano and an organ in the church, as well as a drummer, but we are open to other types of musicians (who can provide their instruments).

Expectations:
▪️Love the Lord Jesus Christ
▪️Faithful church attendance
▪️Familiarity with both traditional (hymns) and contemporary gospel

You’re Never Too Far For Grace

PRAY OVER THIS:
“Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.”...

(Ruth 1:14)

PONDER THIS:
When Ruth made the decision to stay with Naomi, not only was her life changed, but my life was changed. Did you know that Ruth, this pagan girl, became an ancestor of the Lord Jesus Christ? She married into the royal line and, according to the flesh, she became a part of the house of David. Before this decision, she had so much against her. She had a cursed life. The Bible teaches that there was a curse upon her. Deuteronomy 23:3 says, “An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter the assembly of the Lord; even to the tenth generation none of his descendants shall enter the assembly of the Lord forever.” The Law said, “Keep her out! She’s not worthy.” She had a cursed life. But what the law could not do, grace did for this woman. And what the law could not do for me, grace has done. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:12, “you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world.” But thank God, the grace of God has brought us in.

How does it encourage you to remember that you were previously without hope before God, but the work of Christ has changed everything for you?

How does this encourage you about others who also need to know Jesus?
PRACTICE THIS:

Tell someone today about the hope you have because of Jesus.

Good morning

1 Samuel 17:40
Then [David] took his staff in his hand; and he chose for himself five smooth stones from the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag, in a pouch which he had.

When giants problems or temptations confronts us,
be ready.

Have gathered into your mental pouch five "smooth" ( flowing) Bible verses.

The Bible was given not only to increase our knowledge but to strengthen us
And equip us for battle.

So always have at lest 5 flowing stones at hand to take down the giant's in our lives.

Not only to take him down but to destroy him.
Amen

Good morning

1 Peter 2:24,
He personally carried our sins
in his body on the cross (the tree)

All life is a struggle that is the nature of things in a sinful world.

“We fight,” the Bible says, “against the rulers of darkness and Darkness hates light (Christ Jesus).

Until one is changed by the power of Christ,
they will likely be at enmity against those who are associated with Christ.

Only until one considers, and receives Jesus sacrifice on the cross (the tree),

Can one understand what its like to be born again.
(John 3:3)
