Start your Labor Day weekend at Somerset First United Methodist Church's Wednesday night supper. We are having hamburgers with or without cheese or brats, with sides of baked beans and potato salad*. The picnic includes a drink and dessert.
Of course, the meal is free and all are welcome.

Get ready for Labor Day. Start your picnic at Somerset First United Methodist Church Wednesday Night Supper. We are having hamburgers with or without cheese or brats with sides of potato salad and baked beans*. Drinks and dessert are included in tonight's picnic. As always, our Labor Day picnic is free to all. The lower fellowship hall doors open at 4 PM, meal starts at 5 PM, carry out maybe available at 5:45 PM.

Join Us for Worship This Sunday at Somerset First United Methodist Church! 🌿✨

We are so excited to gather together for worship this week! This Sunday, August 30th, is a 5th Sunday, which means we are kicking off the morning with a special 5th Sunday Finger-Food Breakfast during our 9:00 AM service!

🥐🍳 Bring a finger-food dish to share if you'd like, but if you don't have anything to bring, please come anyway—we always have plenty to share! Our 11:00 AM traditional service will be happening as usual (no breakfast at 11 AM).

Pastor Todd will be delivering a powerful message titled "Justice and God's People," based on Exodus 1:8–2:10. In this week's passage, we see that God is actively working toward liberation, calling us to make a critical choice:

🔴 The side of Pharaoh: Empire, slavery, genocide, and death
🟢 The side of the midwives (God's side): Liberation, deliverance, life, and God

This Sunday is also a Special Sunday where our congregation is encouraged to give generously to support the Kentucky United Methodist Children's Homes. 🏠❤️

No matter who you are, where you are on your journey, or what questions you bring, you belong here. We are a fully affirming, loving community, and we invite you to come exactly as you are!

Tonight's supper is Shepherd's pie*, a bottom layer of sausage, green beans, and corn, topped with mashed potatoes. Sounds like a yummy casserole. You will also have dessert and a drink. The meal is free to all. Doors open at 4 PM, meal starts at 5 PM, and carry out may be available at 5:45 PM. We can not offer delivery.
