I want to encourage you to come with Anne and me (Brent) to Life Surge Conference at the Paints Arena in Pitts. on Aug. 15, Sat. 8:30am to 5;30 pm Speakers include Tim Tebow, Nick Vujicic, and John Maxwell. Act now while tickets are only $19 (which includes a $15 box lunch) but any day the price will go up to $47. Go online to Life Surge and click events and click on the Pittsburgh conference. Matthew West is playing too. Refunds are good up to 7 days before the event and transfers are allowed so you can give your ticket to someone else if you can't go. This conference is about Christian principles, building wealth, and building the Kingdom of God.

because this year’s VBS theme is
Rainforest Falls
This year, as we step through the mist into
Rainforest Falls, we will plunge into a lifelong
adventure of discovering the nature of God.
We will explore what it means to be rooted in
a relationship with God ~ our creator and our
safe place through life’s storms.
Along with learning about our amazing God through our Rooted
Bible Adventures, we will also be playing some Wild Games, exploring some Slippery Science Experiments, creating some Vibrant Crafts, and sampling some Tasty Treetop Treats!
WHERE: First Christian Church 139 E. Main St. Somerset
WHEN: Sunday, June 7th – Thursday, June 11th
TIME: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
AGES: 4 years old through kids entering 6th grade

• The Church will hold their annual Church Picnic (including hot dog roast and corn hole) at the Painter’s Farm, located at Staple Drive, Somerset, PA, on Sunday, May 17th from 1 pm to 3 pm. Please bring a side dish that everyone can share. Everyone from the church is invited to attend this picnic including food, games, fellowship, and fun!
