What a beautiful morning of worship at FCC! Germi Arms blessed us with a beautiful special.

Brandon Patterson brought a powerful message from Philippians 4:2-9on anxiety and peace.

Anxiety can grow when we worry about someone else’s words, actions, or opinions - or when life doesn’t go according to plans. Yet the Lord is near.

Prayer transfers our burdens from our shoulders into God’s hands: “God, this is bigger than me- but it is not bigger than You.”

We rejoice not because of our circumstances, but because of who God is. We pray with thanksgiving, and His peace guards our hearts and minds.

Anxiety can take one problem and turn it into ten. Offense can do the same when we allow it to control our thoughts. We must be intentional about what we allow our minds to dwell on.

God loves us. God is in control. God is near.

It isn’t enough to know what God says- we have to put it into practice.

There's a huge difference between asking God to bless a decision that you've already made then asking him to lead you in the decision before you make it. Ask God if the decision is of Him first before asking him to bless it after you've already committed. Being led by the Spirit means we're following Him, not Him following us.

Yesterday afternoon, approximately 25-30 women gathered at FCC for our first The Bait of Satan Bible Study. What an encouraging afternoon of fellowship, honest conversation, and growing together in God’s Word! We’re grateful for every woman who joined us and excited to see what God will do through this study.

So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Jesus was very clear when he told us that in this world we’re going to have trouble. But he told us as believers to be courageous because he had overcome the world. Each day has enough trouble for itself. That means today you’re probably going to face some trouble, but you can be confident knowing that God will never leave you or forsake you. You can be confident in knowing that he makes all things work together for the good to those who love him and are called according to his purpose. So today rejoice when you face trouble because you know that your God can turn your trouble into a triumph.
