On Sundays, during our worship service, members of Cornerstone share about how God has shown His grace to them by either sharing their testimonies or other stories of his grace. You can check them out on our website on the "Sermon Audio" page. We hope you are encouraged by hearing how God is at work in the lives of our brothers and sisters in Cornerstone.

This Summer, we held a two-part sermon series to help us make better cross cultural connections. It is an outworking of our 2023 theme "Demolishing Barriers of the Heart", Go on our website to find information about our initiatives, including signing-up for prayer partners.

Additionally, to help us in carrying out our cross-cultural initiative, Katie Chu will be presenting "Cross-Cultural Kid (CCK) Talk". She will be exploring the impact of cross-cultural upbringing on your identity and perception of the world. This is to help many in our congregation who are cross-cultural, understand our personal upbringing. The event will be held on Sunday, September 17 from 1pm to 2pm in the Matilda 01/02. Lunch will be provided.

This past Sunday, we began a new sermon series through the Peter's first letter called "A Living Hope in Times of Turmoil". 1 Peter is a letter written by the apostle Peter (one of Jesus' 12 chosen disciples). He wrote to followers of Jesus mainly in Asia Minor (present day Turkey). The letter was intended to be copied and shared. The main purpose of this letter was to encourage followers of Jesus as they faced persecution and suffering. Peter pointed them (and us) to the living hope they have in the Lord Jesus and how He transforms His followers to be His body on earth. Peter uses OT images to show this and describes how this practically applied to their everyday lives. Come and join us every Sunday to hear about this amazing hope we have in Jesus!

In August, the adult Sunday School class began studying the New Testament letter of Ephesians. This class is every Sunday at 10am in Matilda 204. Come and learn about this letter and how its message is relevant to life today.

Last week, we finished our sermon series through the book of Jonah. The book of Jonah is unique in that it is the story of a prophet that does not obey the Lord's command to share His message with another people group. Jonah even tries to run away from God without success. Sound like anyone else you know? The message of Jonah is just as relevant today as it was when first written. God's grace is evident throughout the story of Jonah. You can go on our website to listen to any sermons you may have missed!

This Sunday, September 10, we are hosting our annual welcome BBQ after our 11:30am worship service in the parking lot. Invite friends, family members, or acquaintances to come and experience what we do on Sundays and meet Cornerstone!

Our church picnic will be on Saturday, August 5 at Duke Island Park. We will begin the festivities around 10am with food being served around noon. It is a great time for all three congregations of the church to enjoy fellowship. It is also a terrific opportunity to invite friends.

Our current sermon series is through the book of Ruth. The book of Ruth is unique as it is one of two books of the Bible named after a woman. God's providence and lovingkindness is on display throughout the story of Ruth. We witness God's gracious plan being revealed even in the midst of life's pain. Every week, we have adult, youth and children's bible classes. Our adult class is currently going through Gospel Fluency. The class helps us learn and practice speaking to others the truths of Jesus into the everyday stuff of life. Join us every Sunday at 10am in Matilda 204!
