Join us for Unorthodox this Sunday at 11. We're excited to have Taylor Storey presenting part of his Master's Thesis work focusing on Christianity's ties with the slave trade and developing theologies that justified both slavery and white supremacy. It's mind blowing stuff and should be a really engaging conversation.

Sunday School is also gathering at the same time so bring the kids for an exciting class full of stories, crafts, and fun!

After 2 weeks off, we're back for a really special presentation by Professor Kelly Dagley, who is a professor of Biblical Studies at Hope International University. She's going to be talking about the experience of immigrant women through the lens of the book of Ruth. Join us this Sunday, November 28th, to listen to her presentation, followed by a time of conversation.

Hey Unorthodox Folks, we will not be gathering like normal this Sunday. Rather Bethania's annual congregational meeting is happening right after the 9:30 service. You all are welcome to come and be a part of this side of the church's life, as we elect people to our board, vote on a budget, and make decisions on how we are the church in the upcoming year.

We will also still be having Sunday School at 11AM, so bring the kids for a time of interactive fun and learning!

Y’all, I. Am. Pumped. This Sunday we’re starting a 4 week series on EMPIRE. You cannot understand Christianity, without understanding the empire in which it grew.
Jesus and Paul were anti-Empire and anti-imperialism was foundational to their ministry and their understanding of God. Yet, most people don’t even think of empire when they go to church or read the Bible.
Part 1 is going to be about the Roman Empire leading up to and in the time of Jesus. If you haven’t been to Unorthodox yet, this is the time to jump in. If you haven’t been in a few weeks, this is the time to come back.
We will also have Sunday School and nursery care available for our little ones during this time so come and join us!

Hey Unorthodox folks! We won't be gathering as we normally do this Sunday. Rather, everyone is invited at 10:30 for Clergy Appreciation day to celebrate Pastor Chris alongside the rest of the church. We'll have cake and some other treats and time to just enjoy each other's company and conversation. All are welcome, see you there!

Unorthodox gathers this Sunday at 11AM. We're going to be talking about the idea of idolatry and thinking about the possibility that we can even turn God, Jesus, worship, and Christianity into idols. Join us for the conversation.

We also have Sunday School and nursery available for our young ones. Please join us!

Unorthodox is back for its regular gathering this Sunday. We're going to be talking about one of the biggest mistranslations in Christianity, which has profoundly influenced the Church today...and not in the best ways.

Sunday School will also be meeting at the same time and the nursery will be available for our little ones, so come and join us!

Hey Everyone, here's the link to the PDF we'll be talking about on Sunday, called Crisis of Christian Identity in America, by Cornell West. This is just for those who want to read it, it's not necessary for our discussion on Sunday. But it is a really good article-about 30 pages long. Here it is:
