Today, the last Sunday of February, is the first Sunday of Lent.

A season, 40 days, of fasting and praying, and of giving. It is a time for self-reflection, repentance, and spiritual renewal, modeled after the 40 days Jesus spent in the desert before his public ministry.

Our worship service this morning will include the imposition of ashes (due to the cancellation of the Ash Wednesday service), the invitation to lent, the story of the anointing at Bethany, and communion.

The peace by piece quilters of Our Savior’s are hosting bingo tonight at the community center!

BINGO this week is hosted by Our Saviors Lutheran Church Quilt Group--Peace by Piece Quilters. Come have fun playing BINGO and help raise money to defray the costs of the beautiful quilts and other projects this group makes to donate back to the community. See you on Thursday!!
