This Earth Day, we highlight Woodlands Educational Initiative’s part in restoring biodiversity as an act of reconciliation with the land and Traditional Indigenous Worldview. This work is deeply rooted in the Hebrew mandate to “work” (Avad) and “keep” (Shamar), terms meaning “to serve” and “to guard.” By honoring these ancient roles, we combat the 33% reduction in public plant breeding programs and recommit to our sacred duty as caretakers of a living, diverse planet.
