Sometimes we get asked why a program like CLC matters.

We think the answer is found in the students.

It’s in the student who walks into class carrying something heavy and finds a safe place to breathe.
It’s in the student who asks a hard question and discovers that they’re allowed to wrestle with their faith.

It’s in the quiet student who slowly finds their voice.
It’s in the friendship that never would have happened somewhere else.

It’s in the teacher who sees something in a student that they may not yet see in themselves.

CLC exists because students need more than information. They need truth, community, compassion, and people who will remind them that their lives have purpose.

And because of the support of our community, we get to be part of that story.

As we begin a new school year, we want to share a little more about what guides everything we do at Social Circle Christian Learning Center.

Our core values aren’t just words on a page. They shape our classrooms, our relationships, the way we teach, and the way we love our students.

Please help us welcome Mrs. Taylor to the CLC family! ❤️

We are so excited to introduce you to our newest high school teacher, Mrs. Taylor!

A graduate of Georgia College & State University, Mrs. Taylor comes to CLC with years of experience teaching Bible in a private school setting. Teaching at CLC has been a dream of hers, and we feel incredibly blessed that God opened the door for her to join us this year.

Mrs. Taylor is a Social Circle native and lives here with her sweet baby girl, Charlotte, and her husband, Donovan, who is currently stationed overseas. We would love for you to keep their family in your prayers during this season apart.

We are so excited to have Mrs. Taylor pouring into our high school students this year!

Our hearts are full. ❤️
As we welcomed our students back for a brand-new school year, our building looked better than ever—and we have some very special people to thank for that.

A huge thank you to the Walton County Foundation for helping make improvements to our building possible, and to all of the anonymous donors who purchased items from our teachers’ wish lists.

Because of your generosity, our teachers were able to walk into their classrooms with supplies, resources, and the things they needed to create welcoming, beautiful spaces for their students.

You may never see the faces of the students who benefit from your generosity, and you may never know just how much those little things mean.

But we see it.
We see it in the fresh classrooms.
We see it in the teachers who feel supported.
We see it in the excitement on students’ faces as they walk through the doors.

Thank you for helping us make CLC feel ready, welcoming, and special for our students.

What a gift it is to have a community that believes in our kids. We are so incredibly grateful. ❤️

THANK YOU, CLC FAMILY! ❤️

We have something really special to celebrate!
Because of the incredible generosity of our community, 73 students are Fully Covered for this school year! 🎉

Our Fully Covered drive may be over, but we are so grateful for everyone who said YES and helped make this possible.

Being Fully Covered means a student’s way to CLC is already covered. But even more than that, it means someone has chosen to believe in them, invest in them, and commit to praying for them throughout the school year.

That means 73 students will begin this school year knowing that someone believes in them and is praying for them. And that is something worth celebrating! ❤️

And while the drive has ended, the need has not. There are still students who need to be Fully Covered, and you can still sponsor a student throughout the school year.

For $500 for the school year or $50 a month from August–May, you can Fully Cover a student and commit to praying for them throughout the year.
