From the desk of Pastor Vernon King Jr (NexGen Pastor)
--
After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to step down as NexGen Pastor at Grace Fellowship Church.
This was not an easy decision. God has done so much through our student and college ministries here in Snyder over the past two years, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to serve this church family. However, there are times when God leads us into new seasons and new assignments, and I believe this is one of those moments.
When I first came to Snyder, I honestly did not know if I would last longer than three months. Coming from a larger city, this was a significant change for me. Yet, by God's grace, what I thought might be a short stay became nearly 2 -3 incredible years of ministry, growth, friendships, and unforgettable memories. During this season, God has worked in ways that I could have never imagined, and now I believe He is calling me to a new assignment.
To Pastor Ryan, the Leadership Board, and our staff team, thank you for trusting me to lead and invest in the next generation. Thank you for your support, encouragement, and partnership in ministry. I have witnessed countless miracles and life-changing moments because of what God is doing through Grace Fellowship Church.
To the Grace Fellowship Church family, thank you for loving and embracing both me and Harlyn from the very beginning. Every time we walked through those doors, we felt welcomed, valued, and cared for. Snyder will always hold a special place in our hearts, and I am grateful to say that we will forever have a church family here.
To my people, the students, jr high, high school and college students, those who have graduated and those who are returning next year, you have been the highlight of this season of ministry. Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you, challenge you, encourage you, and watch you grow in your faith. Thank you for listening, for serving, for asking hard questions, and for pursuing Jesus. You have been one of the greatest joys of my life and ministry. I may be a little biased, but I truly believe you are the very best part of Grace Fellowship Church.
While my assignment may be changing, my prayers for this ministry and this church will continue. I am excited to see all that God has in store for Grace Fellowship Church and for each of you in the years ahead.
With gratitude and love,
Pastor Vernon King
