Today was a jam-packed day. It was both exhausting and rewarding. We got a lot of painting done in the ministry center. We had to do some painting using the lights on our phones because the power kept going out.

We met many wonderful people today. We spoke to them either using Mrs. Julia or through Google Translate. We even broke out in an impromptu worship session (half in English, half in Spanish) on one of our breaks. It was a little taste of heaven where people from every nation and every language will praise Jesus together.

The teenagers who worked with us throughout the day also led the worship at church tonight. It was a blessing to hear them using their talents to serve the Lord.

I (Pastor Rick) was asked to preach tonight just a few hours before the service. Thanks to Missionary Wade for translating and Pastor David for giving me the opportunity.

After the service, I talked to a family with 2 little girls (pictured below). I asked them how they get to church. They said they walk 30 minutes to be there. It broke my heart, but I applauded them for their dedication. I told them that the Lord will reward them for their faithfulness.

We have a lot planned for tomorrow including more painting and cooking for and speaking at a volunteer appreciation dinner for their workers. Also, tomorrow is Morgan’s 16th birthday.
