We appreciate your care and concern for Alexis and Baby Witherington over the past few weeks. Unfortunately, she has been advised to avoid travel for the duration. With that in mind, she asked that I announce that the Baby Shower is postponed. We don’t have a date for rescheduling it at this time.

A Southern Baptist pastor has raised concern over a major attendance gap in the Southern Baptist Convention, noting that while membership reaches 16 million, only about 6 million attend weekly worship. He warns that regularly missing church is spiritually dangerous for believers, arguing it disrupts God’s primary design for spiritual growth through preaching and fellowship.

Citing Hebrews 10:24–25, he emphasizes that corporate worship is a biblical command, not optional, and reflects obedience to God. He also cautions that skipping church sends a message that God is not worthy of priority, replacing worship with worldly activities and weakening Christian witness and spiritual maturity.
