We will be having Homecoming on October 6 at 11:00 am. John Sides will be our guest speaker. We will be celebrating 273 years in Snow Camp. Please join us for this celebration. Lunch will follow the service. We will have a special time of fellowship.

Today we conclude our month of observing George Fox's 400th birthday by sharing excerpts from his Journal. This 1656 excerpt is a favorite among Friends and is part of Query and Advice #42 in Britain Yearly Meeting's Faith & Practice:

"Be patterns, be examples in all countries, places, islands, nations, wherever you come, that your carriage and life may preach among all sorts of people, and to them; then you will come to walk cheerfully over the world, answering that of God in every one."

From Fox's Journal:
[1651} "I was moved of the Lord to speak, and I told them that God was come to teach his people himself....And upon the First-day after, I went to the steeplehouse, and when the priest had done, I directed them to their teacher Christ Jesus, their free teacher that bought them....for the steeplehouses and pulpits were offensive to my mind, because both priests and people called them 'the house of God,' and idolized them, reckoning that God dwelt there in the outward house. Whereas they should have looked for God and Christ to dwell in their hearts, and their bodies to be made the temples of God."
