Good morning!! Just a friendly reminder that this Sunday, June 28th, is homecoming! Come join us for worship at 11am as Rock Creek Methodist celebrates 190 years of serving the Lord!! We will also honor members that have passed to the church triumphant this past year. Following the service, we will have a covered dish lunch.

Our speaker for Sunday is Rev Michael Quintas from St Paul's Community GMC Church in Burlington. Rev Quintas will also be providing the special music that day with his ministry partner, Anna Florence-Crawford.

On Saturday, June 20, 2026, I was ordered as an Elder in the Global Methodist Church.

I started my journey in ministry with Rock Creek as a Licensed Local Pastor in August of 2022 as I simultaneously began attending seminary - in June of 2024, I was ordained as Deacon. While I still have two classes to finish my seminary degree, yesterday is a major milestone in my pastoral ministry journey.

I absolutely could not have achieved this without the love and support of family, friends, mentors, professors, and all the wonderful people that I serve at Rock Creek - and I definitely couldn’t have done it without the Guy Upstairs!!

At the conclusion of the service, each of us were given an ordination lineage that tracks all the way back to John Wesley himself! I follow in the footsteps of greatness - I pray that through the power of the Holy Spirit that I can fill those very big shoes…

Thank you to everyone for your love and support, your grace and your patience, and for your many prayers - I’m going to need them even more now!!!

Over 1,000 clergy and laity gathered together to represent 402 Global Methodist churches from across the state of North Carolina. We conducted business, attended workshops, enjoyed fellowship - but first and foremost, we worshiped. It has truly been a spirit-filled three days of holy conferencing!!

💙Annual Conference Livestream
The Annual Conference will be available on livestream for those unable to attend. You may access the livestream on the home page of the conference website. Please visit ncglobalmethodist.org to access the link and enjoy.

💙Conference Workbook
Lay Members and Clergy will receive a hard copy of the Conference Workbook at registration. This will be your on-site tool to guide you through your Annual Conference experience.

💙Pursue Holiness Podcast
There will be a live recording of the Pursue Holiness podcast with Bishop Carolyn Moore and host Kerry Wood. We will include a time for audience participation during the session. Please come hear the Bishop and enjoy a live podcasting experience on Thursday, June 18, 2026, 12:30-1:30pm in the Gaines Ballroom.

Pentecost Sunday celebrates the moment the Holy Spirit came upon Jesus’ followers, empowering them to begin spreading the gospel. It is often called the birthday of the Christian Church because thousands believed and were baptized that day.

Law enforcement, like ministry, is a calling - a calling to service and sacrifice. And whether they realize it or not, law enforcement officers themselves are ministers fulfilling a ministry of protecting, guiding, and providing stability - of bringing a light of hope into the darkness.

May 10-16 is National Police Week - a time we honor law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice, we support their surviving families, and we recognize the service of current officers.

"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God," Matthew 5:9.
