Christ the King Lutheran Church

Christ the King Lutheran Church Sunday Worship In all that we do, our goal at CtK is to grow as disciples of Jesus Christ. Worship is a weekly feast where the whole community is gathered.

As a community, we do this by focusing on four core themes: Connect, Pray, Welcome, and Share. Connect means we emphasize opportunities to grow in relationship with God and one another through small group activities. Pray means we teach fundamental spiritual disciplines and help each person deepen their faith. Welcome means we continually work to become an open community that embraces newcomers. S

hare means we equip everyone to love their neighbors actively in word and action. We offer a 10:00 am worship service that brings ancient spiritual practices and modern expression together. Worship is centered around preaching and Holy Communion. Music infuses this time with energy and depth. Godly Play us offered for children in preschool through 6th grade during worship. We hope you come visit us, soon. Come and see if God is calling you to Connect, Pray, Welcome, and Share!

This weekend we celebrate Holy Trinity Sunday — and I’ll be honest, it can sound a little like an abstract puzzle. But the Trinity is really an invitation.

If God is eternally Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, then at the very heart of reality is a communion of love. Relationship isn’t just something God does — it’s who God is. And from that overflowing love comes creation, redemption, the church, and even the shape of our life together.

So, when we gather for worship, we’re not simply talking about God. We’re being drawn into the life of God — praying to the Father, through the Son, in the Holy Spirit — joining a conversation of love that was already underway long before we arrived.

Come and step into the mystery with us this Sunday.

See you in worship,
Pastor Craig

Today marks our final Mental Health Friday. While this series may be coming to an end, our commitment to supporting mental health is not. Mental health is a blessing that deserves care, compassion, and ongoing conversation. As we continue to walk through life together, let us remember to check in on our loved ones and offer kindness, encouragement, and support — sometimes a simple conversation can make all the difference.

For our final spotlight, we want to recognize Lutheran Community Services Northwest, a faith-based organization dedicated to serving individuals and families from all backgrounds with compassion and care. Guided by faith and a mission to serve others, they provide community assistance regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, immigration status, religious belief, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, marital status, ability, military or veteran status, source of income, or political affiliation.

To learn more about their services and mission, visit their website: https://lcsnw.org/

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it’s a time to reflect on the courage, service, and sacrifice of those who gave everything for our country. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one's life for a one's friend.

May we never forget their legacy. Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day.

Reminder the Church office will be closed today.

This Memorial Day weekend, we gather between remembrance and renewal.

As we honor those who gave their lives in service to others, we also celebrate Pentecost — the day the Holy Spirit filled the church with courage, hope, and new life.

Throughout this Easter season, we have proclaimed that resurrection rebuilt the house. Pentecost reminds us that God now fills that house with power and purpose.

Behind locked doors, fearful disciples received the breath of Christ and the gift of the Spirit. The lights came on. Fear gave way to courage. The church came alive. In order to get the most out of worship, you can read our Scriptures for Sunday: Acts 2:1–21; 1 Corinthians 12:3b–13; John 20:19–23 (linked above) and keep in mind our theme: The Renovated House Receives Power.

Come worship with us this Pentecost Sunday as we pray:
“Come, Holy Spirit — turn the lights on.”
