It is hard to imagine the weather getting colder, but when it does we want to make sure our community is ready!

The Refuge is hosting a FREE Coat Giveaway this October! We’ll have coats available for children, teens, and adults in our community.

☀️🥵 We couldn’t beat the heat, but we still saved you a seat!

A quick update for our Weekend of Celebration: Sunday morning’s worship service will NO LONGER be held outdoors at Sharp Springs Park.

Instead, we’ll gather INSIDE The Refuge Church at 10:30 AM for worship! 🙌

And don’t worry—we’re still going to eat 🍽️ Our family meal will take place immediately following the service.

We’re excited to celebrate with our friends from multiple churches as we worship Jesus, enjoy a great meal, and celebrate the goodness of God together!

SOMETHING BIG IS COMING TO THE REFUGE IN OCTOBER!

We’re kicking off the REFUGE OCTOBER SERVE CHALLENGE!

For one month, our Care Groups will go head-to-head in a friendly competition to see who can make the BIGGEST IMPACT by serving:

🤝 One Another

🌎 Our Community

It’s not just about earning points.

It’s about showing up, stepping out, and serving like Jesus.

Every act of kindness matters.

Every helping hand matters.

Every person matters.

And yes… there will be points, prizes, bragging rights, and a little friendly competition!

We’re excited to introduce HER PLACE — a new after-school program designed especially for girls in 5th–12th grade!

Her Place will be a space where girls can:

Get help with homework

Talk about real-life issues and important topics

Enjoy dinner together

Build friendships and find encouragement

Grow in their faith

Discover who God created them to be

Our goal is simple: create a place where every girl feels known, valued, supported, and loved.

The girls will arrive after school, spend time together, share a meal, work through homework, have meaningful conversations, and then head into Wednesday night service together.

This isn’t just an after-school program.

It’s HER PLACE. 💜

A place to belong.

A place to grow.

A place to be herself.

A place to discover her purpose.

Winter Coat Drive

Cooler weather is just around the corner and we want to make sure our church and community have what they need to stay warm.

Clean out your closets and bring in gently used or new jackets and coats to giveaway on Saturday, October 3rd from 10:30AM-12:30PM.

There will be a collection site in the back of the sanctuary beginning September 6th or you can drop your coats off on August 22nd, September 12th, or September 26th from 10:30AM -12:30PM at the regularly scheduled clothes ministry times.
