Archdiocese of Atlanta Stewardship Office

Archdiocese of Atlanta Stewardship Office Once you make the decision to be a disciple of Jesus...Stewardship is not an option. Christian stewardship is one of the fruits of discipleship.

A Christian disciple makes a mature choice to accept Jesus’ call without counting the cost, and stewardship is an outward expression of such a choice. In responding wholeheartedly to the Lord’s invitation, the mature disciple recognizes God’s gifts, strives to take care of them, and shares them out of love for God and neighbor.

🙏🏻✝️ Celebrating Corpus Christi in Catholic Stewardship! 🌾🍞🍷

Let us reflect on the profound significance of Corpus Christi, the Feast of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, and how it relates to our Catholic stewardship. This sacred day honors the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, calling us to deepen our faith and express gratitude for this incredible gift of love.

To integrate Corpus Christi into our Catholic stewardship, here are a few suggestions:

1️⃣ Attend Mass: Participate in the Holy Mass and receive the Eucharist with reverence, recognizing it as the source and summit of our faith. Through the Eucharist, we are nourished to fulfill our Christian calling.

2️⃣ Adoration: Spend time in Eucharistic Adoration, contemplating the presence of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Open your heart to Him, offering prayers of adoration, thanksgiving, and intercession for the world's needs.

3️⃣ Acts of Service: Follow Christ's example of selflessness by engaging in acts of service and charity within your community. Reach out to the needy, visit the sick, comfort the lonely, and share the blessings bestowed upon us by God.

4️⃣ Sacrificial Giving: Reflect on the sacrificial nature of the Eucharist and consider how you can apply this principle to your stewardship. Embrace the call to give generously through financial contributions to the Church, volunteering your time and talents, or supporting charitable causes.

5️⃣ Eucharistic Processions: Participate in Eucharistic processions in your parish or local community, publicly proclaiming your faith in the real presence of Jesus. Let this act of public witness inspire others to deepen their relationship with Christ.

May this Corpus Christi fill our hearts with profound joy and a renewed commitment to living as faithful stewards of God's gifts. Let us strive to emulate the selfless love of Christ and radiate His presence in the world.

Wishing you all a blessed Corpus Christi! 🙏🏻✝️🕊️

🙏 Join us in supporting the Peter's Pence Collection and making a meaningful impact! 🌍

As a diocese, your generous contributions will join our brothers and sisters worldwide in supporting the Universal Church and the work of the Holy See. Through this collection, we can stand in solidarity with Pope Francis and become a beacon of mercy for those suffering.

The funds raised will go towards vital initiatives that benefit our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and disasters.

Mark your calendar for the upcoming Second Collection on July 2, 2023. All parishes in north and central Georgia will host this collection, giving us another chance to unite and contribute towards the essential efforts of Pope Francis and the Universal Church.

We sincerely appreciate your ongoing kindness and generosity. Let's support and extend our helping hand to those in need.

Soon, parishes across north and central Georgia will take up the Catholic Home Missions Appeal to support those in the United States dioceses that face fragile financial situations, vast distances, or rugged terrain that significantly impacts their ability to offer the most basic pastoral programs to the faithful.

Your generosity makes a difference for our brothers and sisters across the country. You can support this appeal by making a donation at your parish during Mass on the second collection weekend (April 29 - 30). More information can be found at www. usccb.org/home-missions.

Every year our Diocese takes up a second collection to help support our seminarians who have courageously answered the call to serve the church and for future seminarians. This year’s collection will be held on Easter weekend, April 8 - 9, 2023 at all parishes in north and central Georgia.

Every dollar collected stays within the archdiocese and benefits nearly 40 men preparing for future priestly service with educational costs related to seminary formation.

Please give generously to this collection Easter Sunday!
