We are back home and have been loving our new precious grandson along with the other grandkids and family. While in Romania the Lord has continued to give us new and deeper relationships. I love how the Lord connects our hearts to people around the world so that when I leave one place I look forward to seeing those we have been missing.

Today Ioana and Marian married. It was a great day and I praise God for stirring the desire to marry. This is a blessing for them and their three children. I love the picture with the two older children celebrating when dad “kissed the bride”. Enjoy the pics...

The past few days have been busy...
*VBS at Grace each day this week - making sandwiches for the kids and Randy spoke to them on Monday about being in the military and God’s call for us to Romania.
*Visiting with two American women: Nikki, who moved a village for mission work with her family this past March and Sharon, who has been doing ministry here for 20+ years. Pray for Nikki as she adjusts, learns the language and trusts the Lord for His work in and through them.
*Spending time with Ioana & family on her visit to the city. (Next week will be a special week for her and Marian!)
*Sunflowers ! We topped a hill on the way to Nikki’s and saw sunflowers as far as the eye could see (I literally felt like Alice in Wonderland). So we took a few pictures then went back with Randy and Sharon’s family for family pictures.
*picked up a hitch hiker on her way to Slatina to sell a few items to buy food for her grandkids while their parents are away working in Germany. This is a common situation in Romanian families (see picture of her sweet face).

Today was a beautiful day in the village with people from multiple countries, good Georgia BBQ and the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ. As Randy and Alex shared Jesus’ words to Nicodemus about the new birth one person said, “I have never heard this before. It is wonderful.”

We arrived in Slatina last Thursday and had a great start for our 7 week trip here with our Grace Family.

Friday, we went to Awanas for their last night before summer (after going to camp with them last summer we have grown to love these kids).

Saturday, Grace had an outing planned and we joined in. We had a picnic, walked through a cave and saw some of the beautiful Romania mountain gorges and streams.

Yesterday after church we ran into a man we have met a couple times before and the Lord invited us to share the gospel with him... what a privilege to tell him the good news of Jesus. Please pray for our friend.

Enjoy the pictures of our time so far...

The last few days have been especially sweet.

Today started with the birth of Ioanna’s baby boy! (Hope to have pictures within a couple days).

This evening the children sang songs and read scripture for their moms and other women in the church. It was a great time with everyone (we missed you Viorel and Delia).

On Friday we loved walking through a local village with our friend Nicoleta to visit with the people and talk about Jesus. We were able visit with many people throughout the day. Please pray for those who were willing to listen and those who received new testaments.

The past few days have been blessed... and I would like to mention.... a little chilly !

Last night the ladies finished our Colossians study. The words of Paul left us with a renewed sense of purpose in our daily lives to make the most of every opportunity (Col 4:5). We prayed for open doors and that we might speak forth the mystery of Christ (i encourage you to soak in Colossians 1 and note the words “all” and “every” to discover more deeply who Christ is).

Randy met with some men from another country who work in Romania. They know very little about Christianity and also enjoy learning more English. They shared a blessed time in John 1.

We met with the youth at Grace on Saturday to talk about baptism. They have a heart for God but there are many challenges for our youth in this world. Let’s pray for and lead our young people to know Christ as their greatest treasure.

We traveled to 2 churches this weekend as Beni preached. We saw the new wall with the cross, heard their youth sing and were blessed as we listened to mandolins and the prayers of the people.

We recently began to meet with English speaking youth to help improve their language skills through conversational English.

We have enjoyed our coffee shop meetings with a few students from the local high school as well as the older youth at Grace Baptist Church.

I enjoy watching Randy engage with people. We are amazed that God would use us in this particular way but we are loving it.
