Pastor Karen shared yesterday about Kathy & Henry Leighton's Son in Law having a ruptured brain aneurysm. There is a gofundme account set up along with this update.
We are completely overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity you have shown Jaime, Tim, and Khyla over the past few days. When we started this GoFundMe less than a week ago, our goal was $7,500. Thanks to all of you, we have not only met that goal, but have now raised more than $10,000. Every donation, share, message, prayer, and word of encouragement has meant so much to their family during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for showing up for them in such a big way. We also wanted to share an update from Jaime on Tim’s progress. His drain was removed this morning, which is great news! He had a CT scan yesterday, and doctors found that some of his blood vessels are still inflamed. Tomorrow morning, they will perform a digital subtraction angiography (DSA) and administer medication directly into the vessels that are spasming. The procedure is relatively noninvasive, but Tim will need to be under anesthesia again. They still don’t know when he will be able to come home, so please continue to keep Tim, Jaime, and Khyla in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the days ahead. Most of all, thank you. To raise more than $10,000 in less than a week is incredible, and it is a testament to how many people care about this family. Your generosity is helping give them one less thing to worry about so they can focus on what matters most right now, which is Tim’s recovery. I will keep this fundraiser open in the coming weeks as Tim continues to recover and Jaime and Khyla remain by his side. For anyone who would still like to donate or share the fundraiser, your continued support will mean so much to their family as they navigate what comes next. Thank you again for surrounding this family with so much love and support.
