Good Morning! To all students grades 5-8 you are welcome to participant in the Eastern District YPD Dr. Martin Luther King Jr essay. The essay must be submitted by January 10, 2024 to the email address [email protected] . The essay topic must focus on Dr. King maximum length of words 200 more than 200 words are disqualified. Correct spelling and Correct punctuation are required. At the bottom of essay it should include student name , grade , church affiliation , and pastor name. The grand prize is $100 cash. All participants will receive a gift for participating. The winner will be announced at the Dr. King celebration which will be held Sunday January 14, 2024 at Allen Chapel AME Church 132 Bumphead Rd Americus GA Host Pastor, Rev. Jeremaine Harris the guest speaker for the event is the Honorable Chief Magistrate Judge Crystal Cleveland of Sumter County. We invite the community , all elected officials , all pastors, community advocates, all organizations , students , surrounding areas to please share with us in this grand event.
