We will be having a work day on Saturday Nov.2nd at 9:00 am. Please if you are able to come up and help us clean up the cemetery we would appreciate it. So please bring some gloves, rakes, all other tools which may help. It’s going to be a beautiful Saturday morning and we really need ALL the help we can get.

Help us restore and preserve Smithland Cemetery in Smithland, Kentucky. The Smithland Cemetery is over 200 years old and takes a lot of time and money to maintain it. It is a beautiful place with a lot of history which should be preserved and maintained for future generations. The cemetery is maintained and operated solely by tax deductible donations. Visitors are encouraged to take a walk through this historic cemetery, gaze upon the Ohio River, look at the monuments, their dates and inscriptions, and allow the imagination to fill the gaps in the cemetery's stories, both told and untold. Tax deductible donations should be made to the Smithland Cemetery Fund, 310 Wilson Avenue, P.O. Box 287, Smithland, Kentucky 42081.
