📚 The Pioneer Year begins with an incredible team.
Each one of these educators, we believe, was brought to Awakening Christian Academy for such a time as this. We could go on and on about the stories of how God brought each of them to our school, the doors He opened, the experiences He has given them, and what we believe He has in store for them as they invest into this next generation.
And what a team He has assembled.
Our teaching staff includes graduates of Brown University, Providence College, the Rhode Island School of Design, the University of Connecticut, Roger Williams University, and more. Their experience spans decades of education, classical learning, special education, engineering, government, the arts, ministry, theology, literature, languages, mathematics, and science.
⚓ An engineer who worked on complex systems for U.S. Navy submarines
🏛 Nearly a decade serving in the Rhode Island Senate, including as Senate Minority Leader
🎨 A RISD graduate with 30 years of professional experience in the arts
🌎 Classical education experience that reaches around the world
📖 Decades of experience in elementary and special education, literacy, and supporting diverse learners
🙏 Years devoted to ministry, discipleship, biblical education, and pouring into the next generation
But beyond every degree, credential, and accomplishment are men and women who love God, love students, and believe deeply in what we are building.
This is our Pioneer Year. 🛡️
