MY NAME IS MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Hi, my name is MS and I'm an invisible chronic illness. I am now gorilla glued to you for life. Others around you can't see me or hear me, but YOUR body feels me. I can attack you anywhere and anyhow I please. I can cause severe pain, or, if I'm in a good mood, I can just cause you to ache all over.

Remember when you and Energy ran around together and had fun? I took Energy from you and gave you Exhaustion. Try to have fun now! I also took Good Sleep from you and in its place gave you Insomnia and Brain Fog. I can make you tremble internally, or make you feel cold or hot when everyone else feels normal. Oh yeah, I can make you feel anxious or depressed too. If you have something planned or are looking forward to a great day, I can take that away too.
If you are going out for dinner I can make you choke on your food in front of everyone or even better mess with your bowels making them uncontrollable. You didn't ask for me. I chose you for various reasons: that virus you had that you never recovered from, or that car accident, or maybe it was the years of Abuse and Trauma. Well, anyway, I'm here to stay!

I hear you're going to see a doctor who can get rid of me. I'm rolling on the floor laughing! Just try. You will have to go to many, many doctors until you find one who can help you effectively. You will be put on pain pills, sleeping pills, energy pills; told you are suffering from anxiety or depression, given a TENS unit, get massaged, told if you just sleep and exercise properly I will go away; told to think positively, poked, prodded, and MOST OF ALL, not taken as seriously as you feel when you cry to the doctor how dibilitating life is every day.

I will take your memory making it difficult for you to concentrate, you’ll find it hard to keep track of conversations, but I will be with you, laughing in the back ground when you stumble on words you can’t get out. I will take your attention span and give it away, making you feel stupid and uneducated. I will give you uncontrollable episodes of laughter or crying at that most inappropriate times, just for my amusement.

I will visit your cerebellum and brain stem and have a party without you...making you lose control of balance so you look drunk..but I am the one in control....you’ll be like a puppet on a string, with me at the helm.. I will dangle you, make you fall, stagger , room spin, Your co-ordination belongs to me, tremors, spasms, stiffness, muscle weakness ..it’s all mine to do what I want. With you.. gee whiz what a party we can have.

Your family, friends, and co-workers will all listen to you until they just get tired of hearing about how I make you feel, and that I'm a debilitating disease. Some of them will say things like "Oh, you are just having a bad day" or "Well, I can't do the things I used to do 10 YEARS or 20 MINUTES ago", not hearing that you said 20 SECONDS ago. Some will just start talking behind your back, while you slowly feel that you're losing your dignity and mind trying to make them understand, especially when you are are in the middle of a conversation with a "Normal" person and can't then remember what you were going to say next! Making you feel worthless.
In closing, (I was hoping that I kept this part a secret..but I guess that you already found out!)....the ONLY place you will get any support and understanding in dealing with me is with Other People With MS which gets to be the main people in your life.

You depend on those who don’t drop you as a friend or as a valid family member, however a lot of them will.

You are still the same PERSON just that your brain and spinal cord is under attack and damage, love this part, I make sure I’m with you always.

Sadly the life of an MS sufferer is one of silence, an inability no more of an active mind and body and to fully comprehend this dreadful disease as a mother, wife or sibling is the most difficult. My husband is one of 3 different types of MS He is a warrior and remains defiant with his fight to this day. He requires carers and continues to astonish his 3 adult children and me with his stoic means for survival! Thank you for sharing!!

I was thinking the other day about people used to talk about the Golden Age, when you got old and retired that was the Golden Age. Well, I am old and I haven't seen anything golden yet so I picked up my Bible and the few reference books I have, haha hundreds. And I was reading about the Golden Age, the Bible clearly states that the golden age is when man caused problems are joined and the balances will be history.
Billy Graham and John Wesley White wrote this about the "Golden Age". "God's word assures that a golden age lies just beyond the Armageddon, an age of unprecedented peace and prosperity age, it will not be a democracy, nor monarchy, nor a socialist state, it will be a theocracy.
Christ will be the Lord and King over all the Earth what the Antichrist will have failed to do with militaristic and computer surveillance, Jesus Christ will do by his omnipresence ,omnissence and omnipotence. We must look a little farther, Author Dwight Pentecost, devoted his whole life into the study of prophetic writes, "a larger body of prophetic scripture is devoted to the subject of the millennium developing its characteristics and conditions and any other one subject and that is this Millennial age. Which the purposes of God are fully realized on Earth, demands some consideration and attention so therefore the coming of age or the Golden Age refers to a Time of refreshing in Acts 3 :19 times of restoration Acts 3:21, the day of Jesus Christ in Philippians 1:6 and the fullness of the times in Ephesians 1:10. But the best known is the millennium the English word Millennium is made up of Latin words a m i l l e which means a thousand 9and annum which means a year, so the word millennium means, Of 1000 years.
The Bible speaks of a prophetic future in which Christians will be greatly rewarded immediately following the rapture every Christian will stand before the Judgment seat of Christ to be rewarded for his life of service while on Earth several scriptures teach this, one is Romans 14:10 States: for a we all shall stand before the judgement seat of Christ for we all must appear before the Judgment seat of Christ and each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done whether good or bad it's also referred to again in 2 Corinthians 5:10. The Lord God shall come with a strong hand, and his arm shall rule for him, behold his reward is with him and his work before him now.
This goes back to Isaiah 40:10 which as we all know was all prophesized thousands of years before the son of man will come in the glory of his father with his angels and he will reward each according to his works. Matthew 16 :27 and then we have in Revelation 22:12 behold I am coming quickly and my reward is with me, to give everyone according to his works. Just a little other notation; everyone always speaks that when one passes from this Earth that he goes directly to Heaven. That is he or she, time to God, Jesus Christ, Holy Spirit is a twinkling of an eye but it clearly states that when Jesus comes the dead in Christ shall rise first. That is from the dirt from which they were made, then and only then will The bodies of Christians, justifiable to stand in the presence of Jesus, to be judged will be brought forth. I hope this was enjoyment and entertainment and enlightenment as far as the Golden Age and Heaven, the place we all are striving to get, it is a narrow road and we must walk and live the narrow path, may God bless each and everyone who reads this to the end God be with you.

Where is the God of Elijah?

The exciting days when God worked with fire and God’s servants worked with faith appear to be gone. Elijah’s day was exceptional in that he ministered with boldness and the blessing of God was upon him. He prayed, God answered. He preached, people responded. He acted, kings trembled. He worked, fire fell from heaven.

God has not changed from Elijah’s day. While it is true that the world has changed with each succeeding generation, it seems to me that there are certain principles of ministry illustrated by Elijah that are essential to the power of God upon our ministry. If we desire the fire of Elijah, we may have to have the faithfulness of Elijah to the things of God.

The power for preaching, witnessing, church administration, and church planting was all related to the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit filled the leaders and the church members, things happened that brought great glory to God. A right relationship with God is the beginning place for doing the work of God.

Elijah’s power was also related to his ACCOUNTABILITY TO GOD. He introduces himself in 1 Kings 17:1 as standing before the living Lord God. His credentials for serving were authorized by heaven. His credibility for serving was a position in the presence of God who sent him. But, standing in the presence of God to serve Him is also a clear picture of divine accountability for his ministry. When Paul challenged Timothy to “preach the Word” (2 Timothy 4:2), it was because he was charged before God and the Lord Jesus Christ to do just that. Service in the church is to be performed with a sense of God’s commission and also of accountability to God. Nothing will put the fire of earnestness, excitement, and enthusiasm into our serving God like the realization that we serve under the scrutiny of His holy eyes.

People are seeking all the right things... they are looking in the wrong places. I challenge EVERY CHRISTIAN to GO INTO ALL THE WORLD (your part of the world) and preach, teach, talk about the good news of Jesus. The world is screaming for help, and you have the answer within you. They won't all have ears to hear, but it is up to you to tell them. God will do the rest.

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” ~ Genesis 8:22

The Law of Seedtime and Harvest as I understand it is a process of exchange. If you desire to reap a harvest of any kind it has to be preceded by sowing the relevant seed required. It is a simple but very profound life principle. Farmers understand this and so do the most successful people in th world.

Proverbs 11:24 says, “There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.“

So instead of being too conservative develop a certain level of being liberal and give as much as you are capable of. The investment that you make will always come back to you in a greater measure than what you sow. As long as you understand this principle and do not violate it your life will be a rich experience filled with peace and happiness.

The Bible also puts it this way, “In all labor there is profit, but idle chatter leads only to poverty.” according to Proverbs 14:23. You cannot reap a harvest where you have not planted good seed without nourishment.
