I am a little suspicious of people who like church. I grew up in the church, I’m an ordained pastor and my job is to teach people to make even more church in the world. I am a church planter, but I also go to a fairly traditional Presbyterian church that I really love. And honestly, 50 percent ...

On behalf of the Board of Directors of CAPNWP, I’d like to sincerely thank you for your continued support of the ministries of Camp Lambec and Westminster Highlands! WHEN: October 1st from 9:30am to 4:30pm
WHAT: There are jobs to do for all skill levels
BRING: Work gloves, drinking water, a water bottle, hand sanitizer, and any tools that you think would be helpful

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Due to ongoing problems with the water, the conditions at Lambec are Spartan! The camp’s water is NOT USABLE and volunteers are not permitted to spend the night. This is a work day for the purpose of performing maintenance and preparing the camp for winter. The boil water requirement remains in effect.

There will be an orientation and opening prayer at 9:30 am in the Dining Hall. Please do not arrive before 9:00 am.

The Board of Directors of the Camping Association of the Presbyteries of Northwest Pennsylvania (CAPNWP) has closed Camp Lambec for 2016. The following programs are affected by the closure: Family Camps A, B, C, and Owl Patrol. This closure is due to multiple issues regarding the water system at the camp.

Please note: Camp is closed at Lambec meaning that no one is permitted on the property and the camp could face fines as a result.

Our Registrar is working on processing refunds to campers in a timely fashion. Kay can help you with a refund by emailing her at [email protected]

Camp Westminster Highlands is shut down due to corresponding staff issues for the remainder of 2016.

This decision was arrived at after prayerful discernment and examination of possible alternatives. Again, we feel that this is the safest and most feasible way to proceed. It is our intention to evaluate the requirements of the PA Dept. of Environmental Protection and the needs of the camp and focus our attention on correcting the problems during the off season. We covet your prayers during this difficult and challenging time.
