Parents! We are kicking off our Christmas countdown this Sunday! For the next four weeks, Little Springers will be learning the true meaning of Christmas. We'll also be welcoming a special visitor from Mexico! Do you have any guesses as to who will be visiting us?

This upcoming Sunday, the two main truths that will be taught are
1. From the beginning, God promised to send a Messiah.
2. The Messiah saves those who believe in Him.

Don't worry if you haven't planned anything for Advent for your children. Families will be sent home with a 5-day devotional reinforcing each Christmas lesson.

Today the Little Springers went through Week 2 of our “Where’s God?” series, learning how we can find Him and know Him through our families. The rest of the morning was spent playing minute to win it games - Cookie Face, Ping Ping Spoons, Mummy Wrap, and Nose to Toes.

Hi Cedar Springs Family!
It’s time to share an update of what’s been happening at Cedar Springs Kids Church!

Spring is just around the corner, which means we are focusing on a new Biblical topic in the Children’s Ministry. This winter, we explored the life of Jesus. Now, we will be challenging the Cedar Springs Kids to explore the truth that God is present in every detail and circumstance of their lives.

Through the next 15 weeks, we’ll be providing the answer to the question, “Where is God?”. Grades K5 through 5th grade will be learning that when we search for God, we will find Him. We find Him through our family, through friendships, in our everyday lives, in His creation, in Church, when we are afraid/sick/excited/sad, and we’ll end the spring series on the lesson of God constantly seeking us, as it’s beautifully explained in Luke 15, when a shepherd rejoices for his one lost sheep, so shall the Heavens rejoice for one repentant sinner.

This past Sunday, kids made and brought home treasure maps to “find God” that they will be adding to in the upcoming weeks.

If your kids haven’t checked out kids church yet, it’s a great time to see what it’s all about. Our goal in in this ministry is to create young disciples of Jesus with Bible-based teaching, interactive stories, loads of scripture, snacks, and activities to engage everyone, (even those with educational impairments) so everyone can learn about God and grow in their faith.

This Sunday, the Little Springers focused on how humans sinned against God after He created them and why every person is in need of a Savior. They split into three teams to read and answer questions relating to Genesis 1 - 3 (The Snowmen team won!) and later broke into two small groups to explore and practice prayer. Games and an advent craft followed. Kids were sent home with their "Zipline", an opportunity to bring what they learned into the home. Hope to see everyone next week!

This winter, the Little Springers are being challenged to explore the life of Jesus, from God's Old Testament promises of a Savior through his life here on earth. In the upcoming weeks, they'll be experiencing the excitement of seeing how God fulfilled his promise to save mankind from their sin by sending his only Son to the world to live and die for us. Our Discipleship Jr. program is fun, Bible-based, multiage, and adaptable in order to include children with disabilities.

The kids had ants in their pants today! After our lesson, Miss Ally took the rowdy bunch outside and Miss Samantha stayed behind offering a watercolor activity.

Parents were personally handed a week-long devotional relating to today’s lesson. If you didn’t get one or would like one, let us know and we’ll send you the pdf version.

Hi Cedar Springers! Ready for your monthly update on what's been going on with your Little Springers?

We kicked off March by talking about Parables, a big subject that we decided to use to test the patience of the kids. One of the major challenges we are finding ourselves in is creating a lesson that can reach all age-ranges. The kids did great at listening and responded to the lesson, but as we continue to grow our Little Springers family, we will be testing out something new. Our 'large group time' will consist of prayer, music, and activities. 'Small group time' will be divided into two groups to be able to offer more in-depth bible study for the older kids.

What's happening this month?

We'll be diving into the Book of Acts this month. In our desire to help support and empower parents in being the primary spiritual leaders, this month we are planning on sending week-long devotionals home with the kids. These devotionals will relate to our curriculum topics each Sunday, to help reinforce the lesson and encourage the Little Springers to develop daily God-time.

Prayer Requests: We ask that you pray that the kids at Little Springers continue to know about God and that they accept Jesus into their hearts. We ask for prayers of protection from illness for our kids, families, and volunteers. And as requested by all of the kids, they'd like prayers for warm sunny weather.
