Saint Luke is home.
Here's how parishioner Jackie Bearden describes it:
St. Luke is more than the place where my family goes to Mass. It has become a place where our faith has grown, where my children have learned to serve, and where we have found a community that feels like home. I am grateful for the friendships I have made here and for the many people who have encouraged me, prayed with me, challenged me, and helped me grow closer to Christ. St. Luke has given me opportunities to serve in ways I never expected, and those experiences have taught me that sometimes the best way to grow in faith is simply to say yes.
I have experienced that through ACTS, where I have seen parishioners open their hearts, share their faith, and build friendships rooted in Christ. Being part of an ACTS retreat has reminded me that we are never finished growing in our relationship with Christ—and that sometimes God uses other people to help us take the next step. I have also experienced it through VBS, watching our parish come together to create a joyful, faith-filled experience for our children. Seeing adults and young people give their time, energy, and talents to help children know the love of Jesus is a beautiful reflection of what a parish community can be. Those are just two examples of what I love about St. Luke.
Faith happens here in so many ways — at Mass, in Adoration, through our many ministries, in our families, and in the simple moments when parishioners show up for one another. St. Luke has helped me understand that being part of a parish is not just about attending church. It is about belonging, serving, growing, and helping one another become closer to Christ.
I am grateful for St. Luke, for the people who make this parish feel like home, and for the many ways God continues to work through this community. I feel truly blessed to be part of it.
