Introducing Liz Prairie, our new Environmental Education Director.
Liz grew up in Fountain, Colorado, where a love for the outdoors became part of her life from an early age. From exploring and hiking throughout the Colorado Rockies to tackling Eagles Nest in Germany, she has spent her life seeking out challenging environments and new adventures.
Much of Liz’s outdoor leadership experience comes from her career in the U.S. Army, where she served in a mountain unit. Her military experience developed a strong foundation in wilderness skills, leadership, and resilience, with an emphasis on long-distance marching, land navigation, cold- and hot-weather survival, and austere-environments.
