Sunday June 7 - communion service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled, "Really, No King?" read Judges 19-21. We learn how a Levite has a bad experience that the nation of Israel reacts to. Sometimes, they inquire of God first. Sometimes they do not. We see how some oaths they make come to haunt them. We sum up the book of Judges discussing how a leaderless people can surely wander off the right path. And then we see how we have a leader, a king, Jesus Christ, that we can inquire of and can depend on the keep us on the right path.
Wednesday's Scripture with Supper continues with a study of 1 Corinthians. we begin at 5:00 and eat at 6:00. All are welcome. Just bring yourself.
June 28 we will honor graduates. If you have someone who is graduating from high school, college, or trade school, let Pastor Monte know so they can be honored.

Sunday May 31 - service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled, "I Was Appalled." Read Judges Chapters 17-18. Learn about a man named Micah, how he sought to worship the Lord, how some Danites interacted with him, how Micah believed he could buy God's grace, and how everyone did as they saw fit.
Wednesday evening's Bible study continues with 1 Corinthians. We start at 5:00 and eat at 6:00; just bring yourself.
We will honor graduates on June 28. Let us know if you have a graduate from high school, college or trade schools.

Sunday May 24 - service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled, "So Far, So Good." Read Acts 2. We will review events in the Bible that we are called on to believe, including how the apostles received the Holy Spirit on Pentecost.
After the service there will be an honor guard in the cemetery for a short ceremony honoring those have gave their lives in service to our country.
We have started 1 Corinthians at our Wednesday night "Scripture with Supper." There is room for more. We begin at 5:00 and eat at 6:00 - just bring yourself.

Sunday May 17, 2026. Service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled, "Two Great Words." Read Mark 16. BAckground on Ascension Day and the many important words Jesus spoke before he went back to the father.
Wednesday we continue "Scripture with Supper" with the study of the Gospel of John. This coming week, May 20, we have a small section to go in John and then should start 1 Corinthians. If interested, we have the workbooks that you can peruse. Ask for one on Sunday. We begin at 5:00 and eat at 6:00. Just bring yourselves.
May 17 there will be a training session for our new heart defibrillator and other CPR related methods after the service, starting about 11:30. Maybe you see no place in the future when you might need to know how they work, but one day you might - you might save a life. We will have pastries and coffee after the service while we wait, the BBQ after the session.
That will give us plenty of time to get to St. John's U.C.C. at 2:00 pm for the multi-denominational service sponsored by the Northern Lehigh Pastoral Assn. Music based on our local heritage, lessons about the churches in our area and their missions, and Pastor Monte will preach a short message.
Next Sunday, May 24 we will have a memorial service in the cemetery after the service.

Sunday May 10, 2026. Celebrate Mothers' Day with us. Service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled, "No Razor." Read Judges 13-16. It is the story of Samson. Learn why he is given his great strength, what his major problem was with women, how God remembered him when he needed God's strength, how we should also call on God for our strength, and that we need not be dedicated as a Nazirite, as was Samson, in order to achieve God's purposes.
Wednesday we continue "Scripture with Supper" with the study of the Gospel of John. We have about two weeks to go and should start 1 Corinthians on May 20 or 27. If interested, we have the workbooks that you can peruse. Ask for one on Sunday. We begin at 5:00 and eat at 6:00. Just bring yourselves.

Sunday May 3 - communion service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled,"The Right Offering." Read Judges 9-12. No, not about tithing, but what we can and should give of ourselves to God. Also about not making vows as did Jephthah in his story. As God sent Jephthah to deliver his people from the Ammonites, so did God send Jesus to deliver us.
Wednesday's "Scripture with Supper" continues with the study of the Gospel of John. We begin at 5:00 pm and eat at 6:00. All welcome; just bring yourself.
Sunday May 17 is a service is a multi-denominational service at 2:00 pm at St. John's UCC in honor of the 250th anniversary of our nation. Our heritage in our community will be stressed with traditional music and information about our churches in our area and the Northern Lehigh Pastoral Association and their ministries.

Learn how Gideon is raised up by God to deliver His children from the Midianites; how he needed signs of God's promises to give him more assurance; and how we need to have Jesus rule in our lives.

MAY 17 is a community worship service at St Johns UCC celebrating our local heritage - 2:00 pm.

Sunday April 19 - service at 10:00am. Sermon titled, "The Cycle Begins." Read Judges Chapter 4 and 5. Learn about a couple more judges, including Deborah who leads God's people to overcome the Canaanites. See the beginning of the cycle of disobedience, God abandoning them, they crying out for help, the repenting and God rescuing them.
In Wednesday's Bible study we are studying the Gospel of John. We begin at 5:00pm and eat at 6:00. All are welcome. Just bring yourself.

Sunday April 12 - service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled, "Now Today." Read Judges 1, 2, & 3. Learn why God needed to raise up judges for his people when they began settling in Canaan, and how today we face some of the same issues.

HAPPY EASTER. Sunday April 5 - Communion service at 10:00 am. Sermon titled, "The Strongest." Read John Chapter 20. Learn how the people in Jerusalem felt after Christ was crucified and how that changed when the news was spread that he was alive. Learn how Thomas and the other ten remaining disciples learn how they are blessed and how they are to go forward. Learn how we are all blessed even though we have not seen Jesus, and how all this is possible because Jesus is the strongest.
We continue on Wednesdays with our study of the Gospel of John. We begin at 5:00 pm and eat at 6:00. All are welcome, just bring yourselves.
