We pray for President Lee Hagan of the LCMS Missouri District, who suffered a stroke.

Prayer request for LCMS Missouri District President, Rev. Dr. Lee Hagan. While President Hagan and his wife Jill were attending the LCMS National Youth Gathering in New Orleans, President Hagan suffered a stroke. Today, LCMS First Vice-President Peter Lange passed along the following update from the Hagan family:

Lee will likely be in the hospital until Wednesday and then discharged to an inpatient rehab facility in New Orleans. The rehab stay is estimated to be 10 days to 3 weeks. Following rehab, Lee will be able to travel home and continue with outpatient therapies. We are thankful for the prayers and know that God is with us.

Please remember President Hagan, Jill, and their family in prayer, knowing that our heavenly Father has promised to hear and answer us, for Jesus’ sake.

Dr. Thomas J. Egger, President, Concordia Seminary offers this prayer:

O Lord, look down from heaven; behold, visit, and relieve Your servant Lee, for whom we pray. Look upon him with the eyes of Your mercy and give him comfort and sure confidence in You. Defend him from every danger to body and soul and keep him in peace and safety; through Jesus Christ, Your Son, our Lord, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
