Today is the day of Salvation! Final post:
Lord we ask you to send your sweet Holy Spirit to pour your love out into the community today. We ask you to bless those who choose to go through water baptism give them wisdom and knowledge they need to draw closer to you. We ask the community to please pray for our outreach today. Lord we ask you to move in a mighty way. Bless those who are able to come out and join us please say a prayer for us today that we are always found doing God's will.
Today we will meet at 10:30 am beside Gotime at the Slade Church of God we will post signs at the church as to where to go if you are running late. Please bring you a chair some dry clothes and towels. We will be going to Mill Creek Lake at 11:00 to get things going. There we will have our services. Anyone who wants to come to your welcome come expecting great things to happen in your life. Afterward we will have a wonderful dinner provided by the church more singing and praising God's holy word.
Baptism is the start to a New and wonderful life please let him in will it be easy No, will the devil fight you Yes but we know the end to the story and old devil will loose out in the end so stay strong. God bless you all. Hope to see you there.

Day 6 update: Community Re-dedication and baptism service

When you think about establishing a relationship with God, what comes to mind?

Do you know what the Bible reveals on this subject? Notice what Jesus Christ Himself has to say: "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:44).

God starts this relationship process and you must choose to accept or reject His calling when offered. If you accept, you have a definite process to follow that He clearly reveals in the Bible. What is that process?

1) After God calls you, repentance is the starting point in your relationship with Him. Without repentance, you are cut off from God.

2) After you repent, your next step is water baptism, a primary principle of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 6:1-2).

3) The next step on your road to eternal life is to receive God's Holy Spirit, which comes through "laying on of hands," as described in Hebrews 6:2.

The Bible describes repentance as a profound realization of our sins and resulting sorrow that leads us to change our thoughts and actions (2 Corinthians 7:10).

To some, the change God wants in us can appear so overwhelming that repentance and conversion to God's way of thinking seem impossible. And that's the point. Without God's help, they are impossible!

Overcoming our habitual sins and selfish nature does not happen instantly. It is a lifelong process, often involving great effort.

The symbolic meaning of baptism, then, is profound. It represents both forgiveness of sins and newness of life in Christ.

No matter what our background or past mistakes, when we genuinely repent and are baptized, God promises complete forgiveness.

Living God's way must always remain our priority. We must continually "seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness" (Matthew 6:33).

Slade Church of God is holding a community wide baptism anyone who has recently gotten saved or your not quite where you want to be in your walk with Christ and you want to recommit your life and redeadicate your self to him through baptism please come out and join us, you will be welcomed with much love. We will meet at our church beside go time gas station at Natural bridge at 10:30 am at which time we will remain there until 11:00am we will leave directions for those running late. We will then go to Mill Creek Lake to meet for the services. Come out expecting God to move in a mighty way. We will have preaching, singing, prayer and good fellowship and afterward we will share a good ole fashion dinner on the ground more singing and fellowship. Please if your in the Natural Bridge, Red river gorge area and want to share in Gods love and blessings come out and join us this will be a life changing event. Everyone welcome come as you are. We want to get the community involved and start a revival among the Christian people like we have never seen before get the fire back into our churches so we can go out into the neighborhoods and tell everyone how blessed a people we truly are. Get your light out from underneath that bushel basket and let your light shine for everyone to see. I pray that we see you there. Can Satan read your mind? No, he can’t. Satan is not all-powerful or all-knowing, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to make you believe that he is. Jesus shows us that Satan is a created being and, even though more powerful than a human being, when you put him up beside God, he is woefully limited. Think about it, if Satan had the ability to read a person’s mind, then why did he do everything he could through King Herod to find out where Jesus had been born so he could kill Him? If Satan could read minds, then finding the Christ Child would have been no problem. Same with Baby Moses being kept from the sword of Pharaoh, and Elijah was able to hide from wicked Queen Jezebel. If Satan could read minds, then how was David able to flee from demon-possessed Saul? There are countless stories in the Bible of God’s people escaping the hands of their enemies that make it clear just how limited the devil really is. Satan doesn’t have nearly the power that many people, including Christians, attribute to him. Remember, because of what Jesus did at the cross, Satan is a defeated foe on all counts. Jesus said, “ALL POWER is given unto me in heaven and in earth."
Baptism is the gospel acted out in water. Paul explains the picture in Romans 6: going under the water, we are "buried with him by baptism into death"; coming up, we rise "even so we also should walk in newness of life." Death, burial, resurrection — preached without a word, by every believer who has ever stepped into the water. What does baptism mean? … First of all, baptism is a confession of faith in Christ. … If there is no confession of faith, there is no significance in the baptismal waters.

Slade Church of God will be meeting at our church beside GoTime at Natural Bridge we will meet around 10:30 at 11:00 we will make our way to Mill Creek Lake. We will leave directions for any who come late. We shall then start our service with singing, preaching and the baptisms. Any one wanting to be baptized please we welcome you to join us in this blessed event. We want souls saved, lives changed and families brought back together. Through Christ all things are possible. Any Church who wants to attend or if your visiting Natural Bridge or Red River Gorge come on over and hang out with us expecting many blessings and a spirit filled service. Water baptism is such an important moment in a Christian’s new life with Christ. In most churches, it is a celebration as the congregants welcome the new members to faith. Reflecting on meaningful baptism. The whole faith community rejoices in baptism, as it reminds people of their decision to follow Christ. The new life that God opens up for you. Every new believer faces the challenge of obedience by choosing baptism, and every pastor faces the challenge of finding ways to renew the message and its urgency.
John 3:3-7
Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?” Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

Think about this just for a minute. Your future is in the decisions you make why not make the best choice for your life and let God enter your heart. So simple but it will make a life altering change.
Please if you're not living for Christ now is the time.

Slade Church of God will be having a community baptism, Anyone who has accepted Christ and wants to be baptized come to The Mill Creek Lake at Natural Bridge on Sunday around 11:00 we will have singing, preaching and praying we will hold the baptism for anyone wishing to be baptized. Then later we will have dinner and fellowship more singing shouting and praising the Lord.
Everyone is welcome to come out expecting blessings. All churches welcome if you just want to stop by and blow your horn as you pass just say hello and we support you.

Slade Church of God is gearing up for a rededication and new Christian baptism this Sunday we will gather at the church beside Go time at 10:30 and will stay until 11:00 or a little after. Then we will go to Mill Creek Lake for the baptism. Any one that God is dealing with your heart and you say the sinners prayer. (Oh God our Heavenly Father we believe that you were crucified for our sins your precious blood covered it all. Lord I ask your Holy spirit to enter my heart and save my soul. I believe you were brought back from the grave and now you sit on the fathers right hand interceding on my behalf. I thank you dear Lord for your Mercy. Amen)
God makes forgiveness easy just prayer for God to move in your life he will make your life so much the better. He will open your heart to the truth. God's love is endless. Please keep this moving share share share we want our communities woken up. We want to put God back first in our Country we want our Churches praising God truly worshiping together let's get Happy for salvation. Today makes day number Two of letting everyone know.... This Sunday we will meet at the Church at 10:30 we will stay there until our normal worship service time at 11 then we shall go to the creek for our community baptism. All who would like to join in please bring you some dry clothing and a towel if you want but we will have extra just in case. Come expecting a blessing you will be met with love and kindness and most of All Gods abiding love and acceptance. We invite any other churches to join us no matter the name above the door we our one church trying to live for Christ. Going to make post all week about this: Next Sunday Slade Church of God will be going to do a baptism at the creek in Natural Bridge. After a uninamus decision our entire congregation will rededicate our lives and we All will be baptized. We would love the community, other churches to come out and join us we're going to have preaching singing and an old fashion dinner on the ground. We as Christian should be the happiest people on Earth, instead we have seemed to lose that spark that fire for Jesus. Come join us you will receive a true blessing
