Then they set out from Mount Hor by way of the Red Sea to bypass the land of Edom, but the people became impatient because of the journey. 5 The people spoke against God and Moses: “Why have you led us up from Egypt to die in the wilderness? There is no bread or water, and we detest this wretched food!” 6 Then the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people, and they bit them so that many Israelites died.

7 The people then came to Moses and said, “We have sinned by speaking against the Lord and against you. Intercede with the Lord so that he will take the snakes away from us.” And Moses interceded for the people.

8 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake image and mount it on a pole. When anyone who is bitten looks at it, he will recover.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and mounted it on a pole. Whenever someone was bitten, and he looked at the bronze snake, he recovered.

pray for Muslims today, Today is Eid al-Adha, the celebration of the sacrifice of Ismael (according to them). there are several parts involved,
first that is from Gen When they came to the place of which God had told him, Abraham built the altar there and laid the wood in order and bound Isaac his son and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. 10 Then Abraham reached out his hand and took the knife to slaughter his son. 11 But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven and said, “Abraham, Abraham!” And he said, “Here I am.” 12 He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy or do anything to him, for now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from me.” 13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, behind him was a ram, caught in a thicket by his horns. And Abraham went and took the ram and offered it up as a burnt offering instead of his son. 14 So Abraham called the name of that place, “The Lord will provide”; as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”
but they substitute Ismael for Isaac. i saw from 2 different Saudi believers that the reason certain archeological synagogue sites cannot be excavated in Saudi Arabia is that the rulers fear that copies of the Torah will be found that disprove this belief.

pray for Muslims today, that they will see the truth and realize that the ram is a type of Christ and they would see their need for him as Savior. Remember, our battle is not against flesh and blood, but angels and powers and principalities and rulers of darkness. Pray that Muslims around the world would see the truth as they celebrate the sacrifice today and acknowledge the true sacrifice of Christ.
