Glory be to God, the Association of Salt and Light-Chicago Chapter held its first meeting today, June 24th, at the Assyrian Community Center in Skokie. We were joined by His Grace Mar Paulus Benjamin, bishop of the Diocese of Eastern USA, and Chorbishop Gewargis Bet-Rasho, parish priest of St. Mary’s parish in Los Angeles and president of the North American Executive Committee of the Youth Association.

At this meeting, it was announced that Shamasha Paul Gabriel will be the president of the association, with Mrs. Mary Israel as the Vice President. Together, they will form and announce a committee in the coming weeks. May the Lord bless and guide you both in your new roles as leaders of this association! Thank you to all who joined us, and stay tuned for more events to come.

Welcome to the Assyrian Church of the East Association of Salt and Light, Chicago Chapter! This association is for all those aged 25-40. We invite you all to join us for our first meeting with Chorbishop Gewargis Bet-Rasho from Los Angeles on Saturday June 24th at 1 PM at the Assyrian Community Center in Skokie. We will be having a BBQ and social hour afterwards. Hope to see you all there!
