A few short years ago it seemed that most of my prayers were about what I wanted God to do for me. Looking back , I must have been sure that I knew what I needed and wanted. I had my own plans. I knew what was best. Yeah, right. One day after telling my mother that I had been asking for all these things, she replied "Well, maybe you should stop asking and start thanking Him". Wow! Enough said. Thank you Lord For who You are and who I am to you. The Creator and His Beloved.

Have you ever felt stuck in life? Just can't seem to move forward or even back. You keep praying but don't seem to be getting a direction. I have been there more than I would like to admit. Then some where along the way God showed me that I was seeking the wrong things. He revealed that in order for me to move ahead I first needed to learn the lessons that are before me. Only after this will I be prepared for the next wonderful step in His plan for my life. Lord please show us today what we need learn and by your grace please give us understanding so we may be one with you. Amen! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. ( Prov. 1:7) But first seek his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Matt. 6:33)

Faith is like a muscle, the stronger it is the more it can accomplish. But muscles need nourishment and exercise. So it is with faith. Our nourishment comes from the truth of God in His word, the exercise happens when we decide to be obedient to His commands. Which of us wants to grow up big and strong? I for one. How about you? Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you can say to this mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea' and it will be done. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer." (Matt. 21:21-22 NIV)

The Lord recently showed me a great flaw in my faith. A flaw I did not realize has been a part of my life for a very long time. Let me try to explain. It seems today that a person does not need look very far to find a number of very serious things of which to be afraid. This covid-19 is probably the most prominent fear we share right now. But not everyone is afraid of this or even the death it brings. We trust the Lord and believe his promises are true. Then we worry how are we going to pay these bills or even buy food. So my flaw is revealed! But I have to ask myself : if your God can deliver you from death into life, WHY do you think He can not or will not supply you with the rest you need? O ye of little faith. Be careful when you think you are standing firm, you just might be sinking. Thank you Jesus for this simple but much needed and appreciated revelation. Now for the correction. Amen!

"the joy of the Lord is my strength" Do you realize that the Lord is very joyful over our salvation, prosperity and well being? He has such an awesome plan for each of us. If we will merely seek and believe Him we are guaranteed a very successful eternity. Amen
