End of the year statement from Pastor Derrick.
The end of the year has came. Overall⌠a great year(even though itâs been a major headache and expense đ). We offer this school as a alternative to the public school curriculum for the parents(kids). The curriculum we teach includes the Bible as a subject. We teach life skills (balancing a checkbookâŚetc).
Some expressed that they loved the results of the school, and are returning next year. Some have expressed that they will not be returning.
Our only objective as a school was to offer this school and make it available to the families within our church. The school is still available, and will be in operation next year for those in The Fatherâs House of Prayer church.
To the families and children that wonât be returning next year⌠God Speed. This was never about trying to sway people within this church to attend this school. Again, it was to make it available to you at as little cost as possible. We have accomplished that goal. Thank you for attending this year, and if you change your mind⌠it will always be available. We want the parents to be happy with their childâs education, whether that be here, another private school, homeschooling them yourself, or the public school system. We honestly donât care where your child goes to school as long as youâre happy with your childâs education (I do as I please with my child and every parent should have that right). This was never about building a big school. If it had been, we wouldâve made it a public school. Again, we pray nothing but the best for your children in all they endeavor to do.
To those who are returning for next year⌠we look forward to seeing you at the start of the year.
The school trip is coming up very shortly (May 18-19). We will be staying two nights at The Journeyâs End Lodge, while going to Kingâs Island the day of the 19th. Weâre gonna have a blast! The tickets are already purchased and the hotel rooms reserved!
This endeavor has never been about numbers to us. We have one goalâŚ
Make Christian Light Education available to anyone in our church. We will do our best to see to it that it stays available to anyone that wants it.
Huge shout out to ALL who made this year possible. To those who taught, cooked, took out the trash, served as security, or volunteered in ANY way, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Yâall da REAL MVPâs!
God bless each and everyone of you.
