One of the greatest battles we face isn't our circumstances — it's our identity.

Moses had every reason to embrace the identity the world gave him: power, status, wealth, and security. Yet by faith, he refused to be defined by Egypt and chose to identify with God's people instead. Why? Because he knew who he truly belonged to.

The same is true for us. If you are in Christ, your identity isn't determined by your achievements, your failures, your past, or the opinions of others. You are a new creation. You don't fight for your identity — you fight from the identity Jesus has already secured for you.

This week, take a moment to ask yourself: What false identity do I need to refuse, and what truth from God do I need to embrace?

Ever faced a situation that seemed absolutely impossible? Sarah did. When God promised her a child in her old age, she laughed. But that wasn't the end of her story; it was just the beginning.

God asked Sarah a powerful question that changes everything: "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" The answer shifted her focus from her own limitations to God's unlimited power. She stopped looking at what she couldn't do and started trusting in what God could do. By faith, Sarah received power to conceive the impossible.

Maybe you're facing your own impossible situation today: a health battle, a financial crisis, or a relationship that seems beyond repair. The same question stands before you: Is anything too difficult for the Lord? When you shift your attention from the problem to the Promise-Keeper, you position yourself to receive what He has already provided through Jesus Christ. Come with empty hands to the throne of grace, and watch Him fill them.

This Sunday in our Forward Faith series, we unpacked "Forward Without a Map."

Abraham was 75 with a settled life, family, and deep roots — yet God told him to leave his country, his relatives, and his father’s house for a land He would show him. No map, no details, but five powerful “I will” promises. Abraham went by faith, lived as a foreigner in tents in the promised land, and kept looking ahead to the city with unshakable foundations.

That same posture is available to us: trust the One who finished the work and step forward anyway.

The people of Hebrews 11 didn't move forward to earn God's favor or promise. They moved forward because the promise had already been spoken — and it was more real to them than the obstacle.

Today we're grateful for the freedoms we enjoy and even more thankful for the freedom we've been given through Christ. As you celebrate with family, friends, cookouts, and fireworks, may you be reminded of God's goodness and the many blessings He has poured out on our nation and our lives. 🙏🏼🇺🇸
