On February 6, 2026, Pastor Scotts message was titled Glorifying God in Everything and his text was from 1 Peter 4:1-11. We can be tempted to return to old trouble and sin. We trick ourselves into thinking it is not so bac, we just remember the best part. We have a better life lived for God's glory, freedom from sin is so much better. We are all bless with different gifts, use them to the best of our ability to glorify God for the time we have in this life. God will give you what you need to persevere.
Pastor Cory and the praise team led us in songs of praise and worship.

We were blessed with visitors from surrounding churches at our service on Friday, January 30. Pastor Scott's message was titled "Suffering Well as a Spiritual Act of Worship and his text was from 1 Peter 3:8-22. Our biggest failures can be our biggest teacher. Learn not to model those who do bad things. Are you harboring unforgiveness in your heart? We need to show God's forgiveness and mercy to those around us because of what Jesus did for us. Commit to following Jesus through our suffering. Always be ready to show the hope within you even during bad days. Be ready to share your testimony.

Cornerstone's service on Friday night January 23 was led by Pastor Scott, his message text was from 1 Peter 2:11-3:7. The title of his message was "Discipleship Principles in Power Dynamics." What kind of memories do we want to leave for our family? Mirror Christ to a watching world. In government, we should obey the countries laws and respect it's leaders. If they are at odds with what God says in the Bible, we honor God. Uphold the reputation of God. In the workplace, be the best worker you can be, you work for Christ. Jesus is the highest priority in our lives.
Pastor Cory and the praise team led us in songs of praise and worship. We were blessed with a special song written by TP.

Pastor Scott's message at the service at Cornerstone on Friday night, January 16 was titled "Conforming to the Cornerstone." His scripture text was from 1 Peter 2:1-12. We need to taste God's goodness and crave the spiritual nutrients that God provides for growth, craving God's word, the Bible. Many of us are spiritual toddlers, we do not share our faith, a step towards holiness. God wants us to develop and grow. Stop the bad things that - malice, ill will, dishonesty, pretend maturity, envy, slander. Collectively we are the temple of God and Christ is the cornerstone, focus on Christ. Align with Christ and in harmony with one another. Am I aligned with CHRIST?
Pastor Cory and the praise team led us in songs of praise and worship. Pastor Cory sang a song he wrote with the praise teams help "Stone in Zion".

Pastor Scott's message for our service at Cornerstone on Friday, January 9, 2026, was titled "Heading Toward Holiness" and his scripture text was from 1 Peter 1:13-25. A living Hope which we are assured of in the living word of God. The current of the world is flowing against us. Four commands in this text 1) Have Hope; 2) Be Holy; 3) Conduct yourself in the fear of God; 4) Love. Our future hope in in Christ, we need to be committed to Him. Engage mentally, physically and spiritually to be holy. Focus on the character of God, be like Him. We need a healthy reverence of the Father who is doing all things right. Respect because we do not want to disappoint Him. Love in the church where we have a common identity in Christ and what he did for us. Love with brotherly love, agape love.
We were blessed with two professions of faith of men who have been attending Cornerstone.
Pastor Cory and the praise team led us in songs of praise and worship.

Pastor Scott's message at our service at Cornerstone was titled "Letting Go of the Past and Taking Hold of Living Hope." His scripture text was from 1 Peter:1-12. Most people have little hope for the coming year. In our own strength, our own will, we fail. We need a living faith and hope in Jesus Christ instead of ourselves. Our future in Christ is sure and secure, we are kept by God - guarded. The genuineness of our faith should be on display for all to see.
Pastor Cory and the praise team led us in songs of praise and worship.

The Fourth day of Advent was observed on December 19 at Cornerstone. The message from Pastor Scott was titled "Simeon's Song - Song of Peace", his message scripture text was from Luke 2:25-32. Simeon was waiting for the Messiah, day in and day out at the temple. Israelites were in a dark season, they were under the oppression of Rome. They were waiting for a light, life, and peace. Simeon's peace is greater than anything in his life. God invites us to have HIS peace. Do you want to believe and follow Jesus or reject and oppose Him? Peace with GOD and one another. We need to point to heaven and hold out the light of life.

We were blesses with a special by the praise team and the singing of songs of the season.

Our Third advent service was held Friday, December 12, the title of Pastor Scott's message was "Angelic Song - Song of Great Joy". His sermon text was from Luke 2:8-15. The message of the angels is joy and good news to all. Peace breaks through and joy shows up. The nobodies (shepherd) get this great message of great joy to share it with everyone. This gift is offered to all who will receive Christ in faith. The Father never fails those who put their faith in the Son.
Pastor Cory and the praise team led us in songs of the season.

Our second Friday in advent service at Cornerstone was led by Pastor Scott and his message was titled "Zechariah's Song - The Saving Love of God, and his message text was from Luke 1:67-79.
God visits to bring restoration to his people. Visits can come our way in different ways, good or bad. We are in a season of waiting for God's visit, we have been saved to serve. The visit of God is to bring light into our lives by the birth of Jesus and his death and resurrection.
Pastor Cory and the praise team led us in songs of the season.

Our service at Cornerstone on Friday, November 28 was the start of advent. Pastor Scott's message was titled "Mary's Song-Hope is Here." His message text was from Luke 1:39-55. The amazement of this story is the power of God, he noticed these two women, Elizabeth and Mary whose station in life is not to hope for much. Their meeting is revolutionary and shows hope for those who are down trodden. God was reversing the way the world see greatness. No matter our station in life, we have more peace and comfort when we put our trust in God. God looked for the nobodies and made them somebodies in His Kingdom.
The praise team led us in songs of praise and worship.
