Dear friends and neighbors, we invite you to join us for Easter Sunday! Our worship service is at 10:30am, and we will have a brunch-themed potluck afterwards. All are welcome to join us as we celebrate our Savior who defeated death! Our worship and our dress is fairly casual, please come as you are. Also do NOT feel like you have to bring a dish in order to stay for the meal :) Hope to see you Sunday!

from Howard Thurman, Civil Rights activist:

When the song of the angels is stilled,
When the star in the sky is gone,
When the kings and princes are home,
When the shepherds are back with their flock,
The work of Christmas begins:

To find the lost,
To heal the broken,
To feed the hungry,
To release the prisoner,
To rebuild the nations,
To bring peace among others,
To make music in the heart.

As this Advent season draws to a close, we turn toward love — not as a feeling, but as a practice...
Love is what keeps people showing up when the work is exhausting.
Love is what binds us together when injustice feels overwhelming...
Love shows up in presence. In accompaniment. In listening. In refusing to look away. This love is not passive or sentimental. It is courageous. It resists systems that thrive on isolation and fear. It insists that no one is disposable, that dignity is non-negotiable, and that collective care is a form of resistance.
As we prepare to welcome a new year, may we carry this love with us into our work, our relationships, and our struggles. May it continue to ground us, connect us, and give us the strength to keep moving forward together.

"...hope in Advent is less an emotion than a practice- an act of faithfulness. To light a candle, to sing 'O Come, O Come Emmanuel,' to pray for peace in a season of war- these are not sentimental gestures. They are confessions of trust that God is still at work in the world."
