Day 2 afternoon mission- We traveled back to Washington Baptist Church to put on VBS for 20 children and several adults. We shared the gospel through worship celebration, drama with Paul and Brutus, a tribe time with a Biblical lesson and activity, crafts, recreation, supper, and closing celebration. It was such a blessed experience for all!
We held a late night craft session in the hotel dining area to put together 55 necklaces and 41 prayer journals for the next day’s visit to a different nursing home and the church vbs. ✝️✝️✝️

Day 2 morning mission- We had the blessing of putting on VBS for 30-40 residents at a local nursing home in Opelousas that was very welcoming and responsive to the good news! They were all warm and inviting. We shared the gospel through worship with our local pastor playing the guitar, drama with Paul and Brutus, a Biblical lesson and activity, and crafts using bookmarks and scriptures for the residents to decorate and keep or share. It was such a blessed experience for all! ✝️✝️✝️

Day One of our South Louisiana mission trip begin with our home church commissioning our team to go in the name and service of the Lord. Our prayer is always to be the hands and feet of Jesus teaching the word of God to those who may not know the good news yet.
We traveled to Opelousas to Washington Baptist Church to conduct Vacation Bible School for the community children and adults. The Lord gave us adults and children to teach the word of God to Sunday night.

We want to thank our church family and community for coming together to support our mission team yesterday with the silent auction bake sale! We could not have done anything without your support. By support, we mean those that baked delicious desserts for people to take home, those that came to bid, and those that gave donations. We THANK YOU ALL! We were able to help our mission team with $1,300 yesterday all because of your giving hearts! Thank you again for everything, church family, to God be all the glory!

We’ve had a wonderful time at Camp Harris this week with several kiddos making decisions to surrender their lives to the Lord. What a great week! 🎉
