This is the final version, in English, of the 2024 Book of Doctrines and Discipline.

We are delighted to share that the final version of the Global Methodist Church's Book of Doctrines and Discipline is now available in English on our website. This foundational document serves as the church's governing polity, offering clear direction and guidance for our congregations as we embrace our mission and future together. A limited number of copies will be published and made available for purchase in the new year. Once they are ready, we will provide details on how to place an order.

Translations Are Underway!
To serve our global community, we are actively translating the Book of Doctrines and Discipline into the official languages of the Global Methodist Church. Producing accurate and high-quality translations is a detailed process that takes time, and we appreciate your patience as we work to make this resource accessible to everyone. Once completed, the translations will be uploaded to the website. Each new translation will be announced on our social media as it becomes available.

Effective Date and Transitional Guidance
Please note that the Book of Doctrines and Discipline will officially take effect on January 1, 2025. Until then, the Transitional Book of Doctrines and Discipline remains in effect and continues to guide our governance. This document is still accessible on our website for reference.

Judicial Practice and Procedures
We are also pleased to announce that the final version of the Judicial Practice and Procedures has been posted to the website. This document, adopted by the General Conference, is now in effect and functions as church law. It complements Part Nine of the Book of Doctrines and Discipline to govern the judicial processes stated therein.

📖 Exciting news! The Book of Doctrines and Discipline is now available in English on our website. While this is a preliminary version, with historical information and an index coming soon, we wanted to share the text now to assist with your planning needs.

Stay tuned for the final version, expected next week, along with the revised Judicial Practices and Procedures. We’re grateful for the Journal Committee’s hard work and look forward to how this resource will guide us as we continue spreading scriptural holiness across the globe.

Sims Methodist Church is in the Raleigh District, and in the Wilson Circle.

The Churches of the Wilson Circle are:
Elm City Methodist Church. A Global Methodist Church,
Lucama Global Methodist Church, Stantonsburg Methodist Church,
Kenly Methodist Church with Iglesia Metodista de Kenly,
Sims Methodist Church,
and the new Global Methodist Church Wilson.

We worship together every First Friday of the month at the Praisefest at Lucama Methodist Church. Our pastors meet regularly, as they are able. And we support one another with prayer, missions and outreach together, and other ways yet to be determined as we listen to what God calls us to do.

*Every church should bring enough people to have someone at every one of the 8 workshops then throughout the day.
*Workshops range across church life- women, men, youth, young adults, children, missions, prayer, certified lay ministry, & clergy life. You will come away with fresh ideas, new insights into how life in the GMC will enhance these areas, and much more!!

Disaster Response AND A Time for Prayer and Revival!
ALL ARE WELCOME!

These hard times cause us to look for strength when we are weak, and hope when the way is hard. This coming week, the Global Methodist Churches of the Wilson Area invite you to come and worship with us every night, Sunday through Thursday, 6:30 each evening, starting at 6:30pm.
Sun: Elm City Methodist Church. A Global Methodist Church
Mon.: Kenly Methodist Church Iglesia Metodista de Kenly
Tue.: Lucama Global Methodist Church
Wed.: Stantonsburg Methodist Church
Thurs: Sims Methodist Church

DISASTER RESPOSNE COLLECTION.
We will be collecting supplies for people in Western NC all week this week. You can bring them to worship at any of these Churches on Sunday morning, or bring them throughout the week to the Revival Meetings. See the list below.

PLAN to be here for the Revival ALL WEEK!
Each Church and all our neighbors are encouraged and invited to come out and worship each night. 6:30 pm will begin with music, preaching to follow. We are praying for a movement of God across the Wilson area! INVITE your friends and neighbors!!

(The new Global Methodist Church Wilson is also part of these meetings.)
