Brookwood Church Celebrate Recovery

Brookwood Church Celebrate Recovery Pursuing a relationship with God as we embrace His victory over our hurts, habits and hang-ups. This allows healing for the whole family.

Did you know that two-thirds of the people who attend Celebrate Recovery are there for issues other than addictions? Celebrate Recovery is a ministry based on the words of Christ, designed to help us overcome every type of hurt, habit or hang-up as we pursue a healing relationship with Jesus. Whether you’re struggling with anger, food issues, codependency, chemical addiction, overcoming abuse, rel

ationship hurts or any other struggle, Celebrate Recovery is a safe place to heal and grow within a supportive community. We even have a program for students (grades 7-12) that runs at the same time as Celebrate Recovery called the Landing. Students learn the same lessons that we’re teaching at CR in an age appropriate, interactive way. The official meeting starts at 6:30 pm in the Brookwood Chapel where we have family worship. The adults then stay for their lesson and the Landing students move to their own classroom for an age-appropriate version of the same lesson and small groups. Celebrate Recovery Ministry provides a safe community of hope that celebrates God’s healing power in our lives over the hurts, family, issues, addictions, and compulsive behaviors that block our peace and serenity. Each week we learn how to accept God’s grace and forgiveness in solving life’s challenges. By working and applying these biblical principles, we begin to grow spritually, and the result can be freedom in Christ. All are welcome at Celebrate Recovery! Our ladies had a lovely time at the BEncouraged House for our Fall Tea. The house is gorgeous, treats were sweet, the tea steaming but the buzz of conversation around 5 tables warmed our hearts most of all!!

Life after the Military does not always make sense. The loss of a sense of brotherhood and the feeling of being part of something important and bigger than yourself can lead to feelings of frustration, isolation, emptiness, boredom, anger, or loneliness.

Welcome Home is Celebrate Recovery's newest open-share group for men, starting on June 5. It is for veterans, led by veterans, and it helps veterans who may be stuck in hurts, hang-ups, and habits of life.

Whether you served during peacetime or war, experienced combat or never heard a shot fired, ALL veterans are welcome at Welcome Home! See you on June 5th! Brookwood Church Chapel, beginning at 6:30 p.m. every week.

Beginning June 5th, Celebrate Recovery introduces an additional open-share group for men veterans: Welcome Home

Welcome Home group is a place for veterans to safely share what is happening in our lives. We utilize a biblically based 12-step program and the strong relationships we form to allow God’s work in our lives.

God gives us the ability to come out of the darkness and walk through life with hope. We can start by building relationships with others. We learn positive tools for coping with frustrations and then incorporate these tools into our lives. Celebrate Recovery is not a “cure-all”, but it has helped nearly 4 million people in 29,000 churches around the world to find freedom from their hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Our Welcome Home group is for male veterans, led by veterans.

Welcome Home begins after the big session of Celebrate Recovery, which meets each Thursday night in the Chapel starting promptly at 6:30 pm. The flow of the night would be:

• 6:30 pm - Large Session / Chapel
• 7:30 pm - Open Share Groups (including Welcome Home)
• 8:30 - Cross Talk Cafe

We hope to see you soon (and tell other veterans!)
