Good morning Pastors and Church leaders. I wanted to share some information with you about this wonderful family. Brandon and Natasha Whitt have served faithfully as Children's Pastors for the North Spartanburg Church of God for several years but mid 2023, God began stirring in their heart to transition their ministry to the mission field in Africa, working with orphan children. If your church is looking for a missionary family to work with, I would recommend this family. God bless each of you.

𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗶
𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 # 𝟳𝟲𝟱-𝟬𝟬𝟰𝟮

Our thoughts and prayers are with Haiti; as you have seen and heard of the powerful 7.2 magnitude earthquake that hit Haiti, it almost destroyed whole towns and triggered landslides. Information continues to come in of churches destroyed and members lost.

I believe that the church leads the way and sets the example in situations like this. We have helped in the past, and now I am appealing to you once again to answer the call to help in this dire situation.

I am pleased to share with you that we have a matching donor willing to match up to $20,000 for this cause.

1 John 3:17 says this; If anyone with earthly possessions sees his brother in need but withholds his compassion from him, how can the love of God abide in him?

With this in mind, I am asking you and your church to help the people of Haiti. Our greatest desire is to share the love of Jesus Christ with people. That often comes first through sharing some tangible gift, which helps the person turn away from a feeling of hopelessness. They are then able to begin to focus on the task ahead of rebuilding their lives.

I believe this is a time for the Church of God to share the love of Christ in the darkness of the moment.

Remember, every “little bit helps”! You and your church can make a difference.

These stats are old but very telling.....

Christians make up 33% of the world's population, but receive 53% of the world's annual income and spend 98% of it on themselves. (Barrett and Johnson 2001, 656)

North American and European Christians spend $12.5 trillion on themselves and their families each year. (Barrett and Johnson 2001, 656)

Only .1% of all Christian giving is directed toward mission efforts in the 38 most unevangelized countries in the world. (Barrett and Johnson 2001, 656)
