“I’ve been to Cornerstone since I was a baby. I’m 8 years old now and as long as I remember I’ve known about Jesus Christ. Last summer one of my friends from Sunday school got baptized. I wanted to get baptized but I did not know what baptized meant. So we left it alone for a while and then last Sunday they taught about baptism so here l am.

I know we are born sinners and that none of us can be perfect, but God is the only one that is perfect. Jesus came to earth and then he died on the cross for us and went to the tomb and 3 days later he rose from the dead. Jesus died on the cross for me.

I want to get baptized today because I want you all to know I believe in him and want to trust in him all the days of my life. I know baptism is not my ticket to heaven, but it is a step of obedience.” - Ivy Foote

I’m so thankful I had the opportunity to go to Utah with Cornerstone’s student ministries for the Maven trip last week. There were many parts of this trip that were difficult or intimidating, especially talking with strangers about God and the gospel. Though it was difficult in many ways, it was so good for me. God taught me how to depend on him, he taught me what it means to be unashamed of the gospel, and he let me experience the power and truth of the gospel. It was an incredible week of being used by God and watching the gospel affect the lives of unbelievers. This trip was challenging but I thank God for the great things he did through it. - Jackson Reid
