Today's Devotions: 2 Kings 25. 2 Chronicles 36. Jeremiah 40-41. "Praise Report" I have been praying and asking GOD for a Vanity. Antique of course! 3 mirrored so I can see sides of hair. AND it needed to be close by, like in Silverton. I cleaned out the space, and painted it sage green. It was just a collect all/storage space. Its attached to the primary closet. Which I don't use, it's not big enough. It's Rob's closet. I have SO many clothes that the extra bedroom upstairs is my closet! The whole room + the closet!! Oh my!! Come on, the Pastor's Wife is expected to look good!! Lol Anyway, I daily watch my grandaughter sit at her vanity; and thought. "What a great idea!" I'm old, tired...but Glamma has a reputation to keep up! I finished Painting on Saturday, and reminded GOD, that I was ready for the Vanity. I had seen a few I liked, but the drive was too far. This morning after coffee and Bible reading, I checked Marketplace, and you guessed it!! The perfect Vanity, in Silverton, for Glamma!! Ain't GOD good!? And HE went above and beyond; the piano stool came with it!!

Today's Devotions: Ezekiel 29-32. Revelation 11. "The 3 terrors" I have determined to read Revelation and understand it. It's working; the determination. The help besides hearing from the Holy Spirit, has been time. Yep! Giving "time" to the WORD. We are in Rev. 11. Verse 14 says "The second terror is passed, but look, the third terror is coming quickly." So what are the first 2 terrors? The first terror is found in Rev. 9:1-11. A horde of demonic, locust-like creatures with scorpion stings are released to torture those who do NOT have the Seal of GOD. Not to kill them, but torture them for 5 months. The second terror is found in Rev. 9: 13-22. A massive demonic calvary army of 200 million is released from the Euphrates River, killing a third of mankind. Here's where it gets EXCITING!!! The third terror is in Rev. 11:15 "Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices shouting in Heaven: "The world has now become the Kingdom of our LORD and of HIS MESSIAH, and HE will reign forever and ever." It's a terror to unbelievers, those who rejected GOD'S rule; they will be punished. Rev. 11:18 says "The nations were filled with wrath, but now the time of YOUR wrath has come. It is time to judge the dead and reward YOUR servants the prophets, as well as YOUR holy people, and all who fear YOUR Name, from the least to the greatest. It is time to destroy all who have caused destruction on the earth." Our reward? Our greatest reward? Eternal Life...in HIS presence.

Today's Devotions: Ezekiel 25-28. Revelation 10. "Come LORD, JESUS!" In Revelation 10 John writes of an angel coming down from Heaven with a small scroll. In verse 7 The angel says "There will be no more delay. When the seventh angel blows his trumpet, GOD'S Mysterious plan will be fulfilled. It will happen just as HE announced it to HIS servants the prophets." John was pointing to GOD'S removal of all evil and the final exaltation. Hallelujah!! In verses 8-10 John is told to take the open scroll from the angel. The angel says to John "Take it and eat it. It will be as sweet as honey in your mouth, but it will turn sour in your stomach!" So John eats it, and sure enough it was sweet, but when swallowed, it turns sour in his stomach! The Prophet Ezekiel also had a vision in which he was told to eat a scroll; it was filled with judgments against the nation of Israel. (Ezekiel 3:1-27) The taste was sweet in his mouth, but the contents brought destruction- just like the scroll John was told to eat. To Believers GOD'S Word brings us encouragement and hope. Oh how I love GOD'S Word. ❤️ GOD'S plan will be fulfilled...the future rise of evil, culminating in the Antichrist (Rev. 4- 18:24). Then follows John's recounting of the Triumph of the King of kings, the wedding of the LAMB, GOD'S final judgment, and the coming of the New Jerusalem (19: 1- 22:6-21. The promise of CHRIST'S soon return (22:6-21). And ends with John's prayer, and mine...Come, LORD JESUS!!!
How is it sour in our stomach? We have to warn unbelievers of the coming judgment. Scary, right?! They may laugh in our face. They may not listen. Many think they will go to Heaven because they are good. Many think they will go to Heaven because they believe in GOD. ( Btw even the demons believe in GOD.) We know there is One Way to Heaven: through JESUS! HE is the only way!! If we know an unbeliever and I know many; we need to pray for their Salvation. We need to pray for an opportunity to share our Hope in JESUS! Our Hope of Eternity with HIM. The unbeliever has no hope. Many think they will die and thats it! OR a loving GOD would not send people to Hell. Oh ...HE'S not sending them, they are choosing Hell.
What's the best way to share JESUS? LOVE people! ❤️

Today's Devotions: Ezekiel 20-21. Psalm 111. Revelation 8. "Sabbath Days of Rest" Ezekiel 20:12 says "And I gave them MY Sabbath days of rest as a sign between them and ME. It was to remind them that I am the LORD, who had set them apart to be holy." Family, please listen.... It's easy to stay busy, easy to find something to do. Just STOP! The difficulty is to take the Sabbath day and rest. As I sit here looking back on my life I 🤔 think "GOD gave me a day to rest. It's a gift from HIM, not an obligation. Not legalism. A day to focus on HIM, give HIM worship, rest. As the Pastor's Wife, Sunday was a work day. BUT, I could have taken another day to rest. Going to church is NOT the necessary part. Stay home. Open your Bible. Love each other. Rest. One day a week. Sounds simple, and yet...few take the gift from GOD. I know that I'm guilty. Since Rob retired I finally get it!! I now rest in HIM. I even say "No chores for me today! I may or may not cook. Lol" I read a lot, and many are books on the Amish. They lived a simpler life; oh they worked hard on the farm; but they knew the importance of GOD and Family. So they attended church every other Sabbath. The other Sabbath they spent visiting family. And...no church building to keep up; they met in different homes. I have decided I should have been Amish! Oops!! No make-up! No fixing/cutting the hair! Never mind, then I wouldn't be Glamma. Lol Please learn from me, take a Sabbath day of rest. You won't regret it, I promise. The pic? Just as I am changing, learning what GOD intended when HE gave us the Gift of a Sabbath; my dining room table needed a change. It had become sticky, and ugly. From the polyurethane? I guess. So I sanded it, and got to bare wood. I then skipped a stain, and put Tung Oil on it. It now matches my butcher block, and Hoosier. I didn't plan on that, but it naturally matches whats around it. We have naturally become like the World. Busy. GOD set us apart to be holy. Now act like it!!!

Today's Devotions: Ezekiel 17-19. Revelation 7. "Seal of GOD" Why do people quote this proverb concerning the land of Israel: The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children's mouths pucker at the taste? GOD answers in Ezekiel 18:3-4 "You will not quote this proverb anymore in Israel. For all people are MINE to judge- both parents and children alike. And this is MY rule: The person who sins is the one who will die." The people of Judah believed they were being punished for the sins of their ancestors. They thought this because of Ex.20:5b "I lay the sins of the parents upon the children; the entire family is affected." But that was referring to the CONSEQUENCES of sin. Which do effect innocent people. Not the PUNISHMENT for sin, which GOD directs to the individual who sins. Pic is of Lindi (3 yrs old), Robert (1 yr.old). As parents we teach our children the consequences of their behavior. But we NEVER punish our children. Only GOD gets to punish us. We DISCIPLINE our children so that they learn right from wrong. Although we often suffer from the effects of sins of those who came before us, those effects are not punishment. GOD does not punish us for someone else's sins. We each must answer to GOD for our actions. I luv when the OT reading, and the NT reading come together!! In Rev.7 There are 4 Angels standing at the 4 corners of the earth, holding back judgment. Previously the Sixth seal had been broken, and there was a great Earthquake!! The people were afraid and were trying to hide from GOD. They knew the Wrath of GOD had come. BUT 😍 There was another Angel, who was carrying the Seal of GOD! Hallelujah!! Rev. 4:3 says "Wait! Don't harm the land or sea or the trees until we have placed the Seal of GOD on the foreheads of HIS servants." GOD puts a Seal on our forehead, its the exact opposite of the mark of the beast. (Rev. 13:16) We are owned by GOD, or owned by Satan. HEAVEN or Hell. Which do you choose?

Today's Devotions: Ezekiel 15-16. Psalm 70. Revelation 6. "Exalt HIM" We read in Ezekiel 16 of Jerusalem- an unfaithful wife. The people had made alliances with pagan nations and adopted their gods and customs. They had pushed GOD aside. We do the same when life- Education, Career, even Family; become more important than our relationship with GOD. HE must be first in our lives. In Revelation 6, we read of the opening of the 6 seals, which brings 3 judgments. Each judgment pictures end times. The opening of the 4th seal brought a horse whose color was pale green which brings death! Verse 8 says "They were given authority over 1/4 of the earth; to kill." (Only 1/4) GOD is merciful!! During these judgments unbelievers will still have time to turn to JESUS!! As Believers we hope to be caught up- Raptured!! In the sky with JESUS, before most of end times takes place. I say hope, because there's opinions of Believers still on Earth during The Tribulation time. 🥴 My personal belief is "I'm outta here!!!" I have previously said I have no imagination, which makes reading and understanding Revelation difficult. Thankfully, there are Notes, Commentaries, and even Pinterest, to help us understand what we read. And of course The HOLY SPIRIT!!! I am determined to get through Ezekiel and Revelation!! IF....you glean anything from these Books please share with us!! Then, there's the Psalms. Thank you JESUS!! Psalms 70:4 says "But may all who search for YOU be filled with joy and gladness in YOU. May those who love your salvation repeatedly shout, "GOD is great!" Or in the KJV "GOD be exalted!"

Today's Devotions: Ezekiel 8-11. Revelation 4. "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD GOD, the ALMIGHTY!" Much of Revelation is beyond my ability to understand. I have no imagination. None. Lol But many passages contain clear spiritual teaching. The Clear Teaching in the Book of Revelation is that GOD Will Defeat all Evil in the End! Hallelujah!! In a vision John sees four living beings, each representing GOD'S Attributes. Rev. 4:6b-7 First a Lion, Symbolizing GOD'S Majesty and Power. Second an Ox, Symbolizing GOD'S Faithfulness. Third a Human, Symbolizing GOD'S Intelligence. Fourth an Eagle, Symbolizing GOD'S Sovereignty. Day after Day and Night after Night they keep on saying, "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD GOD, the ALMIGHTY- the ONE who always was, who is, and who is still to come." (V.8) The Book of Revelation instructs us in Worship. Do you know what Worship does? It takes our minds off of our problems and we FOCUS on HIS Love and Character! From the earthly to the Heavenly! Oh yeah! And the 24 Elders lay their crowns before the throne and say "YOU are worthy, O LORD our GOD, to receive glory and honor and power. For YOU created all things, and they exist because YOU created what you pleased." One day all creatures in Heaven and Earth will praise and honor GOD! Because HE is the CREATOR of everything! Today's Devotions: Jeremiah 52. Revelation 1. Psalm 143-144. "The Call of Papa" This will be a personal devotion today for our Children and Grandchildren; and my readers of course!!! We end the Book of Jeremiah today. Jeremiah is called in Jeremiah 1:5 "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." The purpose of the Book of Jeremiah is to urge GOD'S people to turn from their sins and turn back to GOD. Rob McKeown /Papa had the same call for the Youth in Costa Mesa and Woodburn, and as Lead Pastor in Silverton. He is called to lead the lost.... to JESUS! For 40 years Jeremiah served as GOD'S spokesman to Judah, but when he spoke, nobody listened. Do you feel that way? You're trying to convey how JESUS has given you Peace and Joy; but family and friends just don't get it! I know Papa felt that way often. Yes, often. It says in Jeremiah that he was rejected by his neighbors (11:19-20), his family (12:6), the false priests and prophets (20:1-2, 28:1-7), his friends (20:10), his audience (26:8), and the Kings of Judah (36:23). Papa got saved in College, and everything he had planned for his life changed. He thought he would become an Architect. Btw...Yes, he played basketball; at 6'9" he is often asked the question "did you play basketball?" Well of course he did!!! Papa left the Secular College and went to Bible College. (Icthus Bible School in Salem, Oregon). That's where his life changed again!! He met me, your Glamma! We married, had Lindi Rae, and Papa graduated from Bible School. He decided to continue his Education with the goal of becoming a Pastor. He decided on Costa Mesa Bible College in California. Now called Vanguard University. That was good for me, all my family was in California! I was going HOME!! He Graduated with a Degree in Biblical Studies. While in College he was a Part-time Youth Pastor in Huntington Beach ⛱️ , California. Good times AND we had Robert!! The plan after College was to leave Married Student Housing, and move into the Church Parsonage. I've spoken of this previously so won't go into the sad details. I'll just say the Pastor's changed their mind and then offered us a Garage!! No kidding! Talk about NOT feeling valued.😔😪 Ministry is difficult...sometimes. But oh the JOY when you lead someone to JESUS!!! So Papa has a degree in Biblical Studies and about to be Homeless! Oh my! Believe it or not he was hired by a Geotechnical Engineer, because he had the degree. Yes, not a degree in Engineering, but a degree shows discipline and hard work. Education is never a waste. We moved back to Oregon in 1993 to be near his Parents. Papa continued in the field of GeoEngineering, and had a great job. But of course the story doesn't end there, Papa had a call to Pastor. It took approximately 10 yrs to be back in Ministry. Continuing in Jeremiah, throughout his life he stood alone; declaring GOD'S messages of doom, announcing the new covenant, and weeping over the fate of his beloved country. In the eyes of the World he was not successful. But in GOD'S eyes? Oh yes! He was obedient and faithful to the call of GOD!! GOD has called each of us. ❤️ We need to commit to being successful in GOD'S eyes.

Yesterday and Todays Devotions: Jeremiah 37-39, 50-51. Psalm 79. 2nd and 3rd John. "The day Dolly died." Yesterday, after a day of shopping with my friend Kay, Kaleah asked me if I had heard about Dolly? She then burst into tears and told me Dolly had died. My Sweet Kaleah was 💔 heartbroken. My Girl knows how to LOVE, she loves JESUS, Mommy, Bubba, Glamma and Dolly! In our reading 2 John, verse 6 says "Love means doing what GOD has commanded us, and HE has commanded us to love one another, just as you heard from the beginning." It's a tall order to love as JESUS asks...Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand it's own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. I fail often in this. I do. Ask my kids and grandkids, well maybe not the grandkids...Lol. I have difficulty saying No to them. 😍 If Lindi wants something she will have Kam or Kaleah ask me, cuz she knows I can't tell them No. Love is not irritable. Oh my, even if I'm tired, hurting....busy! Even if. Help me JESUS to love like YOU, to be like YOU. Dolly was asked about her physical appearance and her response was "I'm real where it counts, and that's on the inside!" Say what ya want about her, I think she is beautiful! And it shows in her generosity. I do believe she followed the truth of the WORD. To my Children and Grandchildren....3 John verse 4 says "I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth." Follow JESUS!!
