Yesterday in worship, it was announced that Bishop Cedrick D. Bridgeforth intends to appoint Rev. James Pierce as pastor of Stayton & Silverton United Methodist Churches in Oregon, effective July 1, 2026.

Rev. Pierce is a retired licensed local pastor in the Oregon-Idaho Conference currently serving Baker and Haines UMCs. He will serve Stayton UMC one-third time, and Silverton UMC one-third time. It was previously announced that Rev. Laura Beville is being appointed to Mill Plain UMC in Vancouver, Wash.

What a magical night at Starry, Starry Night! ✨
We welcomed over 60 friends for an evening full of dancing, friendship, and pure joy—and what a celebration it was.

The dance floor was full, the laughter was loud, and the joy was absolutely contagious. Nights like this are such a beautiful reminder of what it means to be community.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the evening so special—Amy, Phil, Bonnie-Jean, Ruth, Ginny, Cindi, Liz, Charlie, Emily, Lisa, Sammy, and so many others who gave their time, energy, and love to create such a welcoming and joy-filled space.
