Worship services: MEETS 1st & 3rd (& 5th) Sundays of the month 10 a.m. | CLOSED 2nd & 4th Sundays. 723 Greene St., Silverton, Colorado. Attending church each Sunday is a respite from fast-paced daily living. Visit with us to reflect, worship God, strengthen your spiritual connections, and focus on Jesus. Worship with a community of people who are trying to be more Christlike and learn from each other. The first main meeting is called sacrament meeting. This meeting consists of songs, prayers, and sermons (or “talks”) given by different members of the congregation and take the sacrament (or Communion). In addition to sacrament meeting, there may be Sunday School classes for children and adults. During the second hour, we meet together for a lesson and discussion that are based on a different section of scripture each week. The first Sunday of the month is what we call Fast & Testimony where we fast together and share our testimonies about Jesus Christ in order to strengthen each other. If you're attending church for the first time, you may be a bit nervous. Attending church services gives us time to focus on worshipping God and loving our neighbors. It’s a spiritual recharge that helps us live closer to God throughout the week. As of March 1, 2026, our branch was turned into a group and under the care of Durango First Ward. Today, July 19, 2026, boundary realignment as well as name changes have our group under the Hermosa Creek Ward (formerly Durango First Ward). Boundaries have not changed for 30 years for Durango. These have changed today to better serve the youth and children in all areas. The new policy standard for a ward requires each ward to have at least 100 participating members, including at least 20 active worthy priesthood holders, and prefer at least 20 participating youth. All changes were designed to better meet the needs of all members.
